Thank You WGT for including an Uneven Lies tourney in the weekly free rotation!!! Starting it off on Cabo is a brilliant idea. It's one of the courses most of us play the least so we'll need to play Uneven Lies with intuitive play instead of just trying to repeat shots we've hit before on familiar tracks. I hope to see at least one Free UL Tourney every week from here on out.

I hope they keep it in the rotation and add a single play 9 hole and an unlimited play 9 hole U/L tourney as well. This may be the only way many players will try U/L.

I do like a little mixup and will play that tourney but I hope they dont start adding more. I personally dislike the UL's as its a crap shot alot of times. UL's still needs some tweeking before it becomes mainstream in my opion. Draw/;fade in the mix would help but hope they keep it as a option for now, its just not ready for play on a consistant bases to me.

    Just my 2 cents,

    Mes.

Personally, I'd like to see each of the weekly tournies offered in UEL format as well as in the regular format. But that's just me, and I realize that plenty of people won't share that sentiment.

I have to disagree with Mes though. UEL isn't a crap shoot.  I find it surprisingly consistent.  The learning curve is a bit of a nightmare however.  You definitely have to spend a lot more time figuring out what shot to hit (and how far it moves sideways)...as opposed to already knowing what you're hitting before your last shot's stopped rolling.

And at the end of the day, being a good putter is a must.  When you're playing UEL, any approach inside 20 feet is a fairly good shot (which oddly enough, is about the same as on the PGA tour...).  If you're making a reasonable number of putts from that length, you'll probably score quite well.

I wish everyone great fun with it...but after a couple of holes, I'll pass...paso robles...pasadena, el paso...pass gas.

I totally agree about having an UL option for each weekly at least. I have no idea why WGT has been hiding this game play but I think it's about damn time they put it out there for anyone who wants to be playing UL in tourney fashion.  Anyone who wants to play can compete with like minded others and anyone who doesn't like it can just keep playing whatever they do now. It's simply more choices for the members.

UL has been here for over a year and WGT has barely given it the light of day. I'm kind of sick and tired of having to play UL only in practice rounds like there's something wrong with it or me. I took the time to learn UL and I'd like my chance to compete with others in Free Tourneys. I'm not a RG player and I'm not going to put up creds just to play UL. If anyone can play in the flatland Tourneys for free the UL players should be able to have the same opportunities. About time dammit and I want more of it!!!  ;)

P.S. ...and you kids stay the heck off my uneven lawn!!!    ;)

While I still think the effects of uneven lies are exaggerated, and should be toned down, if they have it they should use it. Obviously having even lies all the time is unrealistic. The key thing though about uneven lies, it seems to me, is that you have to know the course better and think not only about how to make the shot you have, but where the shot will land and what kind of shot you will have next. In serious golf, as in billiards, having a good 'leave' must be a major consideration.

    It's because......

It's nowhere near how it should be, totally outa whack

That's why it it's been out a year, but WGT  isn't  taking it seriously.

Yeah, its not for me at all. My approach on the first green was a bit mad. I aimed way out left off the green, hit it before the ding line, and nearly lost my ball OOB to the right. Crazy. I wasnt going to carry on with that carry on, lol.
