JimbeauC: Phib. Broken link. Coincidence? Yeah. Maybe.
The broken replay link is on Phiber not WGT. I took a look at his link and fixed it here:
Phiber's shot http://www.wgt.com/replay.aspx?ID=d060f8b7-85f6-4fa3-b98d-a2880177dfc1

The ball catches a backspin?? LMAO!
Yeah... i say we without any doubt got some clowns that work for this
company. Clowns that know zero about the game of golf. Probably same
clowns that know zero about programming.
" if you look closely, when it starts to flip around, it just stops on the higher area because of the spin"
LOL unfooking believable.
Yeah, without seeing the replay it does seem an unbelievable reply. But now after seeing phiber's replay it is obvious that the Member Services response was not meant for phiber's question but was meant for a different replay. I see zero correlation between phiber's shot and the Member Services reply. I imagine Member Services gets tons of messages each day and if their system is an antique like the PM system for members? Enough said.
Another similarity between Wiger's replay and phiber's replay is the sound made when the ball stops. It is a little "thump" sound. Like a ball landing on the green. But quieter. Maybe the referee is right and its the sound of a ball bouncing off a spike mark? LOL
Or the sound of the brake being applied? LOL
Anyway, I've had WTF putts too. Not often considering the number of putts taken. But then again, I've mis-hit putts that surprise me and go in the hole.
And TBH, not being a great putter, I get more of the latter mis-hit surprises than the WTFs.
Thanks Andy, I'm not sure why that link didn't work, it works fine on my blog where I posted it. As far as the ball stopping so abruptly, I blame it on the RCS..Raised Cup Syndrome!! That is about the only reason why it would have stopped so quickly....well...other than all the backspin I applied with the putter!
