Totally agree on the motion thing Gerald, a very unnatural stop indeed.

Yes Scott very unnatural. Funny thing is i find the better i'm playing the more unnatural's seem to crawl out the woodwork.

Could not tell you how many times i have hit putts way harder than should and ball never reached hole. Ball stopping just like the one in replay.

Where i'm from we call that a Okie Doke.   Plain jane rammage.   The putt before you hit it was never intended to go in. Sooo.....  that's when the unnatural happens.

    :)

    Howdy folks,

I'd posted the replay of the putt within my own CC on our own wtf?/duh? thread - rather busy thread btw lol

Just like to point out that although the replay shows standard greens it was in fact champ speed and I was left with a downhill tap in. When I hit it I actually thought it was going to fly past the hole at pace, hence my surprise at the way it suddenly just stopped dead.

We're gettting used to it now though, aren't we?

    Johnny.

Down right criminal Johnny. The reason none of the cheerleaders have found this thread. I'm sure as we speak some of them are trying their best to come up with a reason that ball stopped like that. Soo... they can chime in and protect almighty WGT.  Problem is...... they are not going to find any.....lol.

No different than any other wtf shot......except... this time someone can't come in here and say " My putts don't stop like that " and make it all good.....lmao!

As blatant as it gets mate. Though i have seen the exact same thing to many times to count. No different though than some of these dinged approaches taking off like a scud missile landing no closer than 20 feet of the hole. But you see the cheerleaders would be on that one.." My dinged shots don't do that" and all good..lol. This time.... not touching that with 10 foot pole.... hehe.

I'm sure many of players also have seen that. Manipulating scores mate. All it is. Mainly its what separates the top scores in any tourney.

    Skill??   yeah....lol

The discrepancies between the image of the hole in different camera views and the actual location of the hole according to the WGT game engine is a long and old story.  Probably one that isn't going to get a happy ending any day soon.  We ain't gonna live happily ever after, we're gonna be pissed off for ever I'm afraid.

I've never noticed what Mags pointed out before though and he's right, the hole in that view is definitely stretched a bit.   It looks like someone has been hacking away at the edge of the hole to make it bigger.

Mind you, there are a few Formula 1 teams who wish their cars had brakes like that ball.

I see this a lot (not my shots!), the ball is hit with plenty of power and then stops at 0.2.

Two guys in my CC in particular get a lot of these. Both are legends with sub 60 averages, working their way to 500 ranked rounds. The other times I've seen it happen is to TL's with sub 60 averages, coincidence?

I have seen more than my share of this. The last few days I have seriously considered throwing in the towel. I have started many games 3-4 under all birdies and then the game takes on a whole new perspective. Dinged shots with a mind of their own, 4 foot flat putts look like they are in a bowl, 8 mph wind stopping my R1 at 280 yards. Have not lost a ball in the water or OOB in months. I have lost 6 balls in 3 days on shots that I have made hundreds of times before. I.E. a full Cleveland 80 dinged going 58 yards and into the water with a 10 mph tailwind. These are the head shakers that let you know without a doubt that there is programming involved and can be turned on when WGT sees fit. No conspiracy theories or being singled out. Just plain damn facts based on what I have seen. The stopping 2 inches from the hole has been an issue since day one on WGT. This is programmed and I don't give a flying Owl $hit what anybody says. It happens way, way to often to be a players issue. Have I said enough? If not I can continue.
