I'd have to disagree on the auto click program

Agreed, anything that takes the built in variability out of the game in order to achieve better results is a cheat, period. Meter scales don't account for conditions on the course, the player still has to calculate correctly and still has to stop it in the right spot, no problem there. A auto-click that is designed to hit the sweet spot every time is (or at least SHOULD be) a definite no-no.

Ignoring the cheat programs that exist that people may or may not be using.

The biggest cheating that goes on is in MPC's.  Players who stay as a Tour Pro or a Master so they can stay on the short tees but play enough to have the top flight equipment are the real cheats in the game.  They manage their scoring average by shooting enough scores to get to their goal level and then don't play anything else that is ranked.  I think that while I understand and like the level system, there needs to be a way to move people up based on the amount of play as well.  I realize that some people will never be good enough to make Legend but those people aren't the ones who play 8 hours a day and get to level 90 before anyone else.

I don't do Ready Go's or MPC's so my opinion is just based on what my friends tell me and what I see from some of the players I run across.

FWIW, I don't consider auto click programs, WGT caddies, calculators, rulers, etc. cheats. They're helpers for players that might not be as adept at math, golf or clicking their mouse. The meter does a good enough job for me to make these helpers a non-problem.

It was my understanding that auto click programs are not approved and/or against wgts rules for playing this game. I was searching for these rules and could not find anything other than spyware or third party something or other that hacked into wgt game mode. My understanding is wgt says meter and/or meter issues are on my computer, if thats their stance then I feel I can use any and all means to correct MY METER!

Is there a list of cheat devices that are strictly prohibited by wgt? If so I would appreciate anyone who would direct me to this. If these devices are not against the rules I would use it to combat the constant meter F/ups.

    Davy,

WGT has a blanket policy that has been stated a couple times on the threads, but nothing that gets very specific. Basically it states that anything for personal non-profit use that does not affect the coding of the game play is OK. That is a very dangerous way to handle if, I believe, but that is their choice, not mine. While an auto click meter does not affect their coding and could be a free not for profit download, I can't for the life of me see them allowing an auto clicker to be used at all, much less in a wagered match.

They aren't going to provide a list of devices/programs that are disallowed, as this would do no more than garner interest in them from some of those who have previously never heard of them.

Dozens of threads with tons of suggestions for correcting meter issues, use the search box at the top right to find them, but beware - you better have a couple days with nothing else planned to wade through them all.....

back to "opine"...not even gonna look that word up.  wanna get back to posting my 68...good enough for 1000-something place.  The root of the cause is to make the game better, and more "realistic".  There are lots of tweaks which need to be made for this to happen.  Most of the defenders here will chime about another online game close to this and the scores being posted...Well...unless the tweaks get implemented...this game will be following in short order.  -22 for a round does not spell "realistic"...even for a 4-person almost PGA Tour good scramble team on said courses.

In a game where you know almost all the variables on every shot.I would not be surprized if 1 day ,someone shoots a36 for 18 holes,After all ,it is possible

Actually, no. A "perfect" shot for the specific distance is calibrated to land within a certain radius around the hole, but the radius is generated randomly for each shot. The more accurate the clubs, the smaller the radius, but the radius is not as small as the hole itself--except, apparently, when you get down to the level of pretty short putts.
