    Dianne81:

Agree...  I pitched it to the tee box and graciously, WGT tee'd it up for me again :)

    ( I doubled the hole and ended up with a semi-satisfying 63)

Well, toss BiB in the lake, you are now my hero-ette!!

Great scores D, I looked, you are like still close to the top, what a great accomplishment!

    Congrats!!!!

Read earlier posts about deviation of shots with interest thinking "hope that doesnt happen to me in 2nd round...". Got a severe kicking from WGT there. Ball was very reluctant to finish on the green and even when i thought i should be right by the pin it would finish 4yds away at best and needless to say missed the putts. Also discovered a dirt lie for the 1st time. On the plus side birdied the 18th both rounds! Great tournament and whetted the appetite for St Georges

Just played R2... meter was perfect not 1 skip or freeze dinged nearlly every shot, but for some strange reason it just would not happen had 3 putts go in the hole on F9 only to be turned out 360 :( could not believe the amount of shots i was dinging that wer landing either in the 50% rough off the drive or 4/5 yards off the pin on approaches ended F9 -2, dinged my tee shot on 10 only to see it land in rough 1 yard off the water saved par no bird on 11 either suffered badly and ended up withdrawing not a happy camper lol, oh well theres always the british open

I don't get it, so why not finish and post your score.  First round leader, and you don't finish the tournament.   Just seems like an easy way out.

    Just saying,

    b0gey

Have to agree... I doubled the 2nd hole because of a huge brain fart (forgot to check my scale from the back fringe) and still stuck out the round even though I knew I had no chance of catching the leader.

Sorry to say but, bad form.

I would like to disagree with the much respected b0geybuster and AvLee.

How many of you would put even a penny's bet on mr.funkyjunkie3000 leading after round 1? No doubt he had an amazing round; kudos to him for that.

It is also unfair to compare him to yourself AvLee as you've been there done that. There's no shame in cracking under the pressure. The pressure was too much and he couldn't take it.

If he couldn't take the pressure in the round, i wouldn't expect him to be able take the 'choker' talk afterwards either.

To each his own; if he decided it was his ball and he was taking it home, then that's his prerogative and his ... style. Who are we to say anything? :)

It's certainly everyone's right to withdraw if they wish but I cannot understand why you would do so when a top ten or better finish was still within reach.

Anyway, better luck in the British Open Andy, it was still a phenomenal first round :^)

If i never shoot another low score again it would'nt matter cause i had the honor of going up against the best players on wgt and looks to be a good finish. maybe it was luck, maybe it was others having a bad day or maybe it was just the dedication it takes to become good at this game. Congrats to all the players who made it to the championship. 156 players out of millions of other players is a great reward in its own. Look forward to playing in the open against all the great players here at wgt. Win or lose, just to make the cut is a win in my book. See you all on the course.

the answer to this is pure and simple, after getting so frustrate i clicked withdraw then confirm easy to do and regret it afterwards but theres no going back after confirming, if i could take it back i would, but unfortunatly frustration got the better of me
