I know this is off the subject but can someone tell me why when you play a game for credits and you win it says "you won zero credits"? Is there a way to request them or are they lost? Another thing is why does oit say not enough credits to play if the credits are high enough including the 5 credit fee?

    Any insight is appreciated.

Well........unfortunately (as I feel sure you have read)......the U.S.A. has been in a major recession for the past (3) years.....and things are not looking to improve much in 2012.  So...along with most Americans, I'm having to watch my expenses.  Though, I know, you probably don't have to spend very much in order to get "upgraded balls" or a "better" driver...to help one's game (scores & average).  Yes, I'm STILL using my "starter clus & balls"......and with all due respect to you....I'm sitting on a 72.15 avg (only 201 rounds of golf)....vs. your 68.9 avg. (you have logged approx. 500 rounds).  I also have (9) holes in one....though, I have to admit, only (1) Eagle.  So, considering I'm practically playing golf with "tree branches & rocks".....I think I'm doing OK.  And I'm having FUN.  You have to admit....it is definitely "more challenging" on these courses....when you're only playing with "starter equipment".  I saw a member on here a couple of weeks ago with an average of about 61.0 (he/she only played about 100 rounds of golf.....HOW is that possible)?  Well, I didn't think to look at that member's "golf equipment"...but, I'm betting it was the "best" equipment you can "buy".  I've only been playing WGT golf for 2-1/2 mos....it looks like some "Legends" have been on here for almost 3 yrs. and have played over 3,000 rounds......I'm really still a "newbee"....lol.  Yeah, I'll end up upgrading to better equipment as I go.....and I "can" right now, but not going to.  Going to see how I do (without) the upgrades.  Good Luck to you and ALL WGT members!!!

    Bob

Congratulations on your accomplishments so far, but I don't see any registered hole in ones in your stats. We're they all in alt shot games? Hole outs in CTTH games don't count toward that stat.

kidzhater - Yeah, they are CTTH aces, he's saved most of them. Dude OWNS Wolf Creek. With default equipment yet. Well done, Bob.

Thanks "kidzhater"......well, yeah...I've played the heck out of WOLF CREEK (Closest To The Hole) challenges - and yes, with "starter" equipment.  I have (8) HIO's on that course...and those have encouraged me.  Got 3 hole in one's on the same day....then, 2 days later, got 2 more (same day).....think it was definitely "beginner's luck", because, I haven't hit one for several weeks now.  And, I ONLY have (1) Eagle in regulation play...and ZERO hole-in-ones in "ranked play".  I haven't yet played a "ranked round" at WOLF CREEK...need to save up some "credits" and play it...cool course.  I think maybe if you just play a hole or a course enough times....you can just about "own it"...you know, learn the green. I feel sure that "Masters" & "Legends" KNOW this....many of those members have over 3,000 ranked rounds....Wow!

If you find a way to play a ranked round Bob at Wolf Creek, please let me and a few hundred thousand users know! Good luck!

If the average legend isn't competitive against the top players.....then why did they work so hard to become a legend in the first place?

It seems like everybody wants to be a legend (apparently it makes you so much cooler than everyone else?), but once they've achieved that status, a lot of them don't want to play against the "uber-legends", because it's too hard to win anything.

To coin a phrase, "be careful what you wish for".  You might just find out that it's not really what you wanted.....

In reply to your question...  Many of us who became Legend tier players...  well we didn't do it thinking we were ready to be that.  We were Tour Masters working on improving our games so we could win some of our tournaments...  When our average score for the previous ten ranked rounds dipped below a certain score we were bumped up to Legend tier with no choice on whether we wanted to accept it or not.  Perhaps that is the biggest thing WGT could do....  Instead of just automatically moving us up a tier... give us the choice to move up or remain...   I would have remained a Tour Master myself because I could barely beat people on that tier....  But at least I was competitive.  Perhaps we don't need to change the tiers, but I would like to see that option added, where we could choose to remain where we were if we don't feel ready to move up.  Now I know I'm a low level Legend Tier...  and I'm working on improving my game....  slowly but surely.

The only other problem I have with the Legend Tier is the high cost of the balls.  I mean 2.50 for a ball that barely lasts more than 2 rounds?  What a joke on the pricing.  and with the Nike 4.50 for a ball that lasts even less is a complete waste of time.  If we have to pay those prices they should last at least ten rounds...
