Let's be clear.  We are CUSTOMERS.  We are not clients.

CLIENTS = SkyCaddie, PING, USGA or any other Advertising/Licensing OR OTHER Revenue-producing stream or "Partnership" with WGT.  THESE are the parties to whom WGT is accountable (along with its investors).

CUSTOMERS = WGT Members - Free OR Paid.  With CUSTOMERS you will always have a certain number of satisfied customers AND a certain number of dis-satisfied customers.  It is a fact of business that a certain amount of customers will ALWAYS be lost for many different reasons.  Controlling and managing that is up to the business (in this case, WGT) to decide what degree of customer rolloff/loss is acceptable.

WGT is NOT accountable to us in any way.

For the foreseeable future, I remain a free  /non-paying member until I see an improvement in Game Performance - which I have discussed in other threads.  I've spent the last money I am going to until the game works right.  It has been a year.

    Regards,  AtlantaCoaster

Great post Coaster.  You too, Andyson.  I totally understand the feeling of "ownership" in a product that you enjoy using.  I really haven't been here long enough to stake such a huge claim into the updates.  I like my clubs, the courses that are available, and the performance of the game.  I'm lucky in that I do not experience many meter maladies.  Would it be great to have a release of new Master clubs that would skyrocket me into the 50's?  Absolutely.  However, I am quite content and having an immense amount of fun in my current station as a middle-of-the-road Master.

Nonsense, the 2 words are perfectly synonymous. Client is just a French-derived synonym for the more Germanic-sounding customer. If you want to say customer in French, you say client. And in English, too, the no. 2 definition of client is:

The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language:
    2. A customer or patron

Why do you guys take this update stuff so seriously?  Is the game in it's CURRENT incarnation not enjoyable enough to participate in?  There is a monumental amount of importance placed on these updates and speculative "update cycles".  Ridiculous really.  I think topics like this are actually arenas for the more verbose among us to just post away about nothing.  Several posts in this thread fit this criteria nicely.

LOL - Really now, like you have so many better topics to discuss here in the forums, how pompous.  I'd say your own post fits your own criteria the best so far in the thread.

Many points have already been made on WHY, just because you have all the best clubs and no issues etc does NOT mean everyone else does....?  As well, anyone that just turned Master of course is really going to need clubs hence their interest as well, nevermind all the other really great things that can come from an update.

Yes, again, how rosy for you, but don't delude yourself into thinking your average lands you into middle-of-the-road, you've already admitted protecting it in the past and anyone that looks up your score History can see you've only been playing the 2 easiest 9's available.  Try a few Matches against the true middle of the roader's at BPB and you'll quickly see where you stand in the Master tier, I know I hardly belong here myself and don't claim otherwise.

Oh and I see you did finally figure Andy's out as well and your scores are lower than they were at Kiawah.

Enjoy that big helping of crow all around.

Another point has come to my attention...  And the speculators and second-guessers are not going to like it.

It has to do with TWO.  Who runs TWO?  EASports.  Little company? One or two progammers, devs, etc?  Shoe string budget?  Mom&Pop fly by night company?

No.  Huge.  Millions of dollars, huge dev team, programmers (paid and freelanced) probably in the hundreds.

Do they compete head-to-head with WGT?  Yes.

Tell me why WGT would announce openly to the 'entitlement crowd' here what they are coming out with next?  Why would they bother to tell you which advancement they are working on at all when all the folks over at EA have to do is read this board to get their own project list?

If WGT announces that they are going to develop a 'skins game' format, and they give it a definate 30 day release date, what's to keep EA (or any other large company that wants to compete) from taking that idea straight to their devs to get it out first?  And, if they did get it out first, which company is looking like the leader and not the follower?

    No-freakin-thank you....

For example... Private Tourneys....  wow. there it is on WGT's roadmap... being developed.  Guess who's last update before LIVE launch contained "Group Tourneys"?  Yea, it's something they've been working on for a long time... what with all the other bugs and betas... suuuuuure.

The idea started here and became reality there.  WGT competitors have more money and more hands to make WGT look like the copycat and not the original.

    It's capitalism and competition...

And you want to know every move WGT is going to make.  So does their competitors.

How about a practice putting area and driving range (balls don't lose power.)

Don't take my postings so personally.  This is the internet.  No need to attack the method in which I play this game, nor the courses I play it on, either.  I cannot compete in RG's tourney's, or MPC's for credits, so I am not affecting you, am I?

Made  generalized observation that some of you here seem inordinately obsessed with updates.  You took it personally for some reason, and now wish to attack my game....chill a bit.

Such unwarranted DRAMA snaike!  I haven't asked or begged for info on features that are not on the WGT Product Release Post.  And I don't remember anyone else asking.  Really, the question last week was very simple.  "Is there going to be a release this week?" (Unfortunately the fact it was called a March release seemed to send you into a frenzy.)

A simple answer from WGT "No release this week, we are targeting April Nth for the next one." would have ended the speculation and avoided this whole debate.

    Snaike:

Very dramatic, but I never said that and i don't want that.
