I just bought a better driver, and can occasionally get within 180-190 of the green on my tee shot now.

Of course the pin is 35 feet above me, with not a lot of green to work with. My approaches either go into the front bunker or skip over the back into the deep rough.

Can someone please give me any tips as to how I might be able to hit (and stay) on the green? The clubs I have been missing with are the L59 G20 irons and L81 G20 3W. Oh, and I'm using the L33 callaway(s) balls.

    Thanks

FWIW, I didn't succeed with the lvl 83 G20s + WGT SD balls.

Only best equipment and balls can pull that shot off, and still very tough shot.

Better option is to lay up at a distance where you no you can stick your 3rd short close, and go for birdie, eagles are very rare here, and it's easy to get only par or worse from the bunkers or rough. It's how I play it, and almost always walk away with birdie.

you need a head wind to stick it.. Most go for side of green and take bird

Exactly, without the right wind, it's going to be very tough to hold the green regardless of your equipment.

I would suggest still going for it if the distance is not too much and even if you roll over the green, into the fairway on the other side you'll still have a good chance to pitch for eagle as there is not too much break in the green. Or as other have said, just lay up to the right and almost assure yourself of a birdie.

Would you mind to name some please?

I have the R11's and if there is a tailwind I go for the green. Hard to stick but as said before ball will roll off the back. I use the Flop shot to get back close to hole for bird, if not in for eagle. For me I find it easier hitting from there than hitting from the side, if you played safe on the 2nd shot.

This hole is on the Beth Ctth from that exact place (back of green on fairway). A very good way to learn the shot.

Maybe try to hit the rough right in front of the green, it slows the ball down by a lot and hopefully it will be able to stop, it sounds impossible, but worth a try, just has to hit the exact spot O.O
