lol Chrisironsbones are you a sales rep for Taylormade?

    Just kidding  ;)

I'd like to try them, but I don't have credits to do so. I have no doubt they will be better than my setup that I mentioned above, but I can't get around the price of them for that slightly better performance.

But really glad they working for you mate :)

First off,  thx for the distance breakdown between the shots Chris...

    D51nn3tt:

but thats what every thing has become on WGT we pay double for something which is only a touch better

This should not be accepted so easily & is not by those of us who don't like being ripped off.

As long as people pay for the stuff, it would be stupid for WGT to change their ways, IMHO.

Don't understand how we are being ripped off,  with the players with "basically" unlimited amount of Credits won in ready-go's, WGT knows that there will be those who will buy stuff no matter what the cost.

    My 2 credits

And that takes me back t previous post, i would buy left handed screwdriver if WGT introduced one just for the sake of spending my credits.lol

The new L38 and L39 TM wedges are exactly the same as Z satin wedges they replaced, except now they are 495 instead of 200.

    "New wedge scale"

    64, chip = 6, pitch = 14,  flop = 16

    60 chip = 10, pitch = 22, flop = 26

    56 chip = 16, pitch = 33, flop = 38

Thank you for the above, can you also provide the punch distances please?

I think it's fair enough for the top clubs to be pretty expensive but I think it's a disgrace that the old Z Satins have gone.  Maybe they were just too good for the money, the 64° was certainly by far the best value item in the pro shop.  It's so good that the most sucessful player here is still using it, in spite of there being supposedly better wedges available.

WGT just made it a lot more expensive for up and coming players to get hold of a great set of wedges, not exactly very customer friendly.

I guess that trough their snouts are in is blocking the long term view a bit.

LOL! I beg to differ, you wouldn't wanna miss the "All-Terain Versatility", would you?

    (typo from the Pro Shop)

And you didn't notice the major length differences!?!

    (Z Satin 64°: 50 / 41 / 13 / 6 / 15 yds (full, punch, pitch, chip, flop)

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic?  Unfortunately, I didn't pick up the Z satin 64 degree before so I can't compare the distances to the new ATV.

I have the 54 and 60 deg Z satin (L38 ,39).  What are the distance breakdowns on the comparable - " identical " ATV's?  I assume they are the same to the Z satin since the Full yardage didn't change.

According to wgt's sale's pitch in News, the new top ATV wedges are a great match for the top G20 clubs, which I own and love. But what frustrates me is the fact that, while the meter speed supports that claim, the distances (100y, 75y, and 50y) do not in the least. I'm a struggling so-called legend who frowns on ditching the wood or the hybrid to make room for them, especially since the 100y long wedge is wastefully too close to the 110y short iron. And if I keep the wood and hybrid, the 75y mid wedge is dangerously too far from the 110y short wedge. On the other hand, I can see that the distances of those new wedges are a great match for the top R11 clubs, whereas their meter speed isn't.

The whole thing is ill-thought and cockeyed, if you ask me.
