    cheers mate.

was pretty much like pi$$ing into the wind fighting with an impossible meter on all shots every step of the way till i gave up battling against it....and was only wasting my time and ball life lol.

maybe next big tourney i'll be the one of the lucky folks who get's the perfect meter, decent winds and hardly any interference on my shots, but not this time around :)

it's all good though, i'll lose no sleep.

    tbe

Looks like you're not alone in that TBE, only 89 posted scores so far. Seems a bit low given 199 players qualified.

I'm holding out, not to make a play, but just because I can:)

WGT excuse for random wind at all times so that players can't tell each other what the conditions are, is just that.....an excuse.

It's like saying all the players in the real US open have to sit in a dark room with earplugs in until they go to tee off so they don't see the conditions and gain an advantage......pure bs.

make it random, yes. But not random for players who are playing the same holes at the same time.

    Well I must say this:

I just finished my round with a 61. A very bad score considering I don't remember having a head wind except for #16 which is fine because you can't hit that green in two anyway.

I'm happy this time, I was lucky with the wind. Actually it was perfect.

And I, myself, missed all those 6 first birdie chances I had in a row from 1 to 6 lol

So I cannot say that WGT ruined my round today, It was all me.... and that, gents, is what I want of this game: to know that I play good and I get a good result,...and to know that when I have a bad score is because I play it bad.

I'm happy with WGT, lol but I'm very mad at myself, "How I missed all those putts?"

yet I was lucky, I still think everyone deserve the chance to have a fair condition to prove their skill. My 61 is probably nothing compared to a player that made the same score with all the wind opposite to what I had. Give that player my same conditions and he will prove that he is better than me.

nothing beats the excitement of playing a major on this site..shame it only comes round once or twice a year....i had a 63, which in all fairness is all i deserved. Putting was all over the place, dinged pretty well, windset ok, meter perfect and just 1 crazy deviation.

congrats to any1 who scores in the 50's

I can relate to that  ;) . Haven't putted so poorly for a long time, though championship greens played their part.

I was -2 through 6, birdied the most difficult ones in my eyes (5 and 6). The rest of 12 holes summed to even par.

I had a 3-putt (8th) and a 4-putt (17th). The backside of the green on 17th is defintely not the best place to be putting from :(  .

Nice curveball on R2 with slow greens setup....get prepared for horror stories of multiple lip-outs and putts being smashed at 125% power and still not reaching the hole side ;)

Maybe even fittingly, my last round of golf on WGT was extremely tough one. Experienced very lousy wind directions(possibly the worst of the lot) and had almost no luck on the greens. Oh well, this is a farewell.

That's all Tiger did on the greens Sunday-came up short. The greens changed and he couldn't figure them out by his own admission.  WGT making it real.  :-)
