It's still good info for someone to know whether your prospective opponent has issues that indicate he won't be around for the whole game.

People are going to tolerate a certain amount of disconnects because they understand disconnects happen. It's when the % gets too high that it becomes a concern. Could be a sandbagger. Could be someone with a computer system that doesn't interact with the game well. The reason is not that important.

Completed multiplayer % would be calculated regardless of "reason"

I can see why many people would like this, but im not a fan.  Kinda would feel like a Yahoo gaming site if created.   Just a useless stat in my opinion.......... I kindly disagree with this move :)

    Hi

I am thinking it's likely impossible to figure out why someone quits. That's where the problem lies.

I vote yes ....it can still be used as a guide to see who we are playing against.

Hopefully this info will show when and where we meetup to start a multiplayer game , IE the lobby .

As previously mentioned on this forum, the reason why the round was not completed is not as important as how many.  Therefore ANY percentage of completion of rounds is informative.  All I have to do is see what my percentage is, and what their percentage is and make my decision. I double dare like it.  It is fair to all because no one is disconnect free.  Your Nickle

What if we displayed what % of multiplayer games each person completed on their profile and the match making lobby?

    Not a bad idea.

Just one thing though,  What happens if there was a Puter Erorr/Flash Crash or something like that. Some of the time we can't get back in time to restart.

This usually comes up during conversations on this subject - here is my two cents:

There are tons of possible solutions to frequent technical errors, including directly emailing us where we can create a tailored solution, but unfortunately people may be hesitant to perform these solutions. I like the idea of the "percentage completed" displayed on a players profile because it will clearly show who is frequently leaving games, for whatever reason. If you are constantly being passed up for multiplayer games due to a low %, you may want to look into a solution instead of just hoping for the best, potentially causing a bad experience for you and other players

I will add, that technical errors can happen to anyone, any time. So there will be the same chance for everyone to come across an error that will not let them rejoin. These should be far and few between and should not severely impact your % complete, so I wouldn't think this would be an issue.

And then there is the other, ugly side of this subject - people who leave purposely before the game is complete. This "% of multiplayer games completed" stat will also simultaneously combat people who would purposely leave before the game is finished. Low % = people passing up the chance to play with you. And if this happens, a player may be motivated to look into corrections.

Sounds like a win-win to me at first glance - let's get some more feedback from everyone!

    Stay classy,

100% agreed Pizza .. any indication would be better than none .. it would save lotta us the aggrevation of being involved in 4-plyr games constantly wondering who's gonna quit at any given time ..

I don't think it's fair that system errors and idle loading,
should be considered in that overall percentage,
system should somehow "tell" if you disconnected after
loading was completed and no errors had occurred,
this of course don't and can't include things like
    power outage, ISP problems, etc,
but it should include anything that is caused by the wgt system,
to prevent the player from continuing to play the game,
otherwise, you'll see people getting upset, because let's face it
WGT still is far from perfect, and we still hear about daily loading issues,
and system errors that cut games short.

if you can have a check system that "knows" a disconnection
was made although loading completed perfectly and the shot is set to go,
    then, we have a winner.

another less complicated option would be to use the resume option,
in the normal stroke play as well as alt/match play,
with maybe a reduced waiting time, say 3 minutes,
forcing users to hit the "I quit" button at the lobby.

I also think it'd be nice to have a graceful WD option,
because sometimes ppl do need to stop the game for various reasons,
it can be like the concede shot button, if all the players vote "allow WD",
the player won't have that disconnection from the game added to his 'quitting' stats.

just some thoughts & ideas for you to chew on, good luck.
