Why does it have to be so complicated and rely on non-WGT types? A board like Mark has at WGTLS would fix everything. One guy with a few subordinates and it's a very effective operation.

It doesn't have to be complicated. I participate in other forums where it isn't. The problem lies in the fact that WGT doesn't appear to be willing to empower anyone, including their own employees, to do the job effectively. My stipulation about not playing for credits stems from the fact that this is a gambling site.

    Hi

I read all new threads and follow up many older threads. Just because I do not reply does not mean I did not read it. Many times the ideas are old and repetitive or same question asked in other places or thread does not need my input.

The forums are for community, so I try to be less intrusive than usual. Obviously, I will step in as needed to breakup a poo slinging contest or answer a question or to clarify something, but I think it's best when friends help friends :)

Just so you know, both President and CEO read these forums daily often for hours at a time.

p.s if you think I need to do something for any reason, feel free to alert me on my wall :)

WGTicon - Your comment that "Many times the ideas are old and repetitive or same question asked in other places or thread does not need my input..." is a major part of the problem of WGT's perception by its members here. Those repetitive ideas are repetitive to you but they are not repetitive to the new poster. A moderator should be able to steer a new poster with an old question to the location where it has been dealt with before.

For example, how many times have people asked for a driving range and putting green? WGT ignores the suggestion anymore because it is so repetitive. But not to the OP who has only one or two or seven or 25 posts here. All they see is that you are ignoring them. You have access to the Product Suggestion List, just like I do. Steer them to it, lock replies and stop the ridicule of that person before it even starts.

Likewise, when someone suggests something new, a simple "Thank you for the suggestion. It sounds like something I should be forwarding on." or "We'll take a look at it."  would diffuse our frustration at being ignored. That is not happening now. We are dealt total silence by WGT for honest and constructive suggestions. A good example is right here:

    http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/121724.aspx

That suggestion is really something that should be on WGT's "to-do" list on a regular basis but obviously isn't. And for trying to help you make your job and business more effective we were met with total silence, as if we were put on the "ignore" list.

My honest observation as a former corporate customer service trainer is that WGT employees spend too much time looking at too many things from their own perspective and not from the perspective of that particular individual customer..

    srellim234:

To prevent any appearance of impropriety, though, that moderator would have to be someone willing to forego playing for credits. I wouldn't have a problem with it but many on this site would.

Icon can answer this question.  What does he do? ,  Is he still playing comps.

Actually not sure about that.. haven't seen his player name anywhere . Maybe he is not allowed to play Comps.

I can't see why a moderator cannot play in comps. Unless that person knows something we don't...lol

I suppose if you work for Wgt and win Comps, that might look a bit suspect.

I've read in the past that WGT employees may not win credits. The same rule should apply to member/moderators since this is a gambling site. WGT does not need accusations of insiders winning things through inside knowledge and access.

Icon plays under a different name. He doesn't play for credits, but he does play the game. He's pretty good at it also.
