Fonts displayed on the screen can be smoothed out.  Go into the control panel and click on display.

Also for members who use Nvidia or ATI graphics cards Adobe flash is directly supported by their drivers.

This is my video card settings, which is Nvidia.

I also have ambient Occlusion turned off.

    Anisotropic filter is off

    antialiasing FXAA is off

    Antialiasing Mode is off

    Hi Tess:

    Here is an excerpt for ATI video cards and Antialiasing Mode;

Remember, if you want to disable Antialiasing (for fastest performance), or if you simply want to determine the level of Antialiasing using the settings in a particular game, you should tick the 'Use application settings' box, and the ATI Control Center will not force any Antialiasing on any game or 3D app. This is the recommended option since most games now have separate Antialiasing settings, and often if you try to force Antialiasing on them using the Control Center it will cause conflicts and slowdowns. Furthermore some games simply cannot have Antialiasing forced on them due to the rendering method they use, such as HDR or Deferred Shading (e.g. games like Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter or S.T.A.L.K.E.R.).

Jim What ever flash that you have on CD will be the same for Ice Dragon. I just tried it and it had the same 11.5.502.110 that i have on CD.

Is that Flash version what you get when you let CD update? I get a reminder that one is available every time I open the browser even though all of the options for auto-update are disabled but since nothing's broken I just click no.

No Jim. I manually updated the flash on all my browsers to the latest version. You get what ever version you have on at the time when you update.I just wanted to see if the new version worked well and it does.

Currently using IE10 for windows 7. Runs better than Firefox, Chrome, Maxthon is terrible due to no separate window for the game. I don't like adjusting to a bigger meter, because of bigger screen of the game in a tab.

I will stick with IE 10, until Firefox fixes there memory issues, and Chrome with too many processes.

Does this mean when you click Play Now a separate window doesn't open up? That would be a very good thing if it didn't and went directly to the game. Those open WGT pages in the background cause game problems for a lot of players.

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help,  a few months ago i read some instructions in the System Requirements post where it listed the various browsers that are supported by WGT and a few tweaks to try to optimise the game, I was having the jittery  swing meter problem and in fact stopped playing for 6 months as it ruined my  enjoyment of playing, 'm not a serius player just  have a few games a week  to past the time, anyway, I use Google Chrome and in the post there was a specific mention of a pepper plug in within chrome, it gave some sort of either page or extension to put in to my browser which then showed me all my  Chrome plug ins and said search for any that say pepper, I only had one which i disabled, and yay instant smooth meter, ok so finally to get to my point, someone e-mailed me asking how i did it so i went back to the system requiremnts page and cannot find any mention of the part to type in to the browser that showed me all my extensions or plug ins, I tried looking in chrome settings but I am sure it's only  visible with that  thing to type in to the browser, does anyone have a clue what i'm talking about? i can't ask the author as the post doesn't allow replies...

I just installed Comodo Dragon but I still have a problem with the meter zooming by the ding line and I am normally hitting the ball to the right. How would I need to set up Comodo Dragon to get a slower or steadier meter. What do you mean by dragging the CD icon to the browser?

    Thanks,

When you look at your list of installed programs you see the CD logo next to the title. Drag that icon into your Quick Launch bar.

I use CD exclusively for the game and have it set to open directly in the game client. There is no particular setting that is going to affect your meter speed. I would look at your mouse. If it's wireless you might be looking at a tired battery. If it's wired, try another USB port. If it's a laser mouse, make sure the laser is dust free and clear.

To throw a wrench in the works. I tried at least 6-8 browsers after Windows 10 and was using Torch until recently when it blew up on me. On a lark I used Edge without disabling or changing anything because it came with the computer and it is now the smoothest meter with no jumping, stopping or drive by meters.

Bottom line: you just have to try a bunch and see what works best on your computer under your setup. The last thing I expected was to find that Edge would be the most consistent and carefree browser for My system. Holes in One tripled in a month.
