WGT is on their limited budget, it will only be one new course a year (or if we're lucky the British Open course as well)
Or maybe all of WGT members could donate $10 and if there was say 20,000 of us i'm sure the $200,000 raised might get us a new course (or a ctth course and a nice Holiday in a 5 star hotel in Dubai for the WGT team)
What do you reckon Icon? Would WGT map a new course if all the members donated the money?? Or is this a bit far fetched (fantasy land)
Agreed.....$50+ million's such a tight budget. (they wouldn't disclose the actual figure which usually means it's a lot more)
Dang.............we really need to donate or buy more balls and clubs to help out poor WGT.
If money's tight then we can thank the WGT Baseball project for hogging most of the available funding....but it's not our business to be telling WGT where and how to spend their money.
What next new WGT project will we all be helping to fund though? WGT Superbowl ?
Even I might have a go at playing that......but baseball I find as nauseating as cricket lol.
Raise balls up to $10 a sleeve and a 30% rake in rg's and mpc games that'll raise more funds. (Don't laugh...because that's the way this game is heading....due to a world pixel shortage.)
All I want is 2 hd courses a yr...that's all. They can keep the TruGolf courses IMHO.
And you know what.......I'm so looking forward to Muirfield next year. Hopefully we can get that BUT if we don't, I hope WGT doesn't just give us the big sob story "we couldn't strike an agreement" because there's a ton of other great UK courses, so I suggest if they can't strike an agreement with Muirfield, then just pick up the phone and call Turnberry, Carnoustie, Royal Troon, Royal Birkdale or Royal Liverpool.
No excuses next year please.....there'll be a European players revolt.
Having said all of the above. In WGT's defense, I think the HD courses we have right now (9 of them) is pretty decent and I refuse to come down too hard on any business trying to expand their interests in other fields (you have to speculate to accumulate)...especially with internet related businesses.
Sure the funding pot may have been greatly weakened by WGT's MLB venture amongst other things but hopefully the money flow will be 2 way traffic when WGT Baseball starts getting into serious profit.
It's their business and they have been a success to date.....so kudos to WGT.
Guess I'll just stick to hitting balls.
