    chrisironsbones:

Or maybe all of WGT members could donate $10 and if there was say 20,000 of us i'm sure the $200,000 raised might get us a new course (or a ctth course and a nice Holiday in a 5 star hotel in Dubai for the WGT team)

What do you reckon Icon?  Would WGT map a new course if all the members donated the money??

    I'm in.

If we could make a deposit of $10, but WGT only use it if enough players donated.  If not enough players donated then the $10 donation would not actually be deducted from the credit card.

Heck,  make it $20, that way we only need half the amount of donators.

main reason ive lost interest here nowadays..... they release 1 course and expect folks to play ...... cant be bothered anymore..... ive seen more and more folks who used to play alot cut their playin time by 75% or better ..... ive lost interest and have followed their path.....

With the lack of agreement to map Royal Lytham for 2012 and last I heard no agreement yet with the 2013 Open course, Muirfield, I am wondering if WGT should shift their efforts for new courses away from the Open venues.  If you have all your marbles into the US and British Opens and you can't get permission to map the courses, isn't this a waste of time?  Or is it a WGT budget issue?  If there is a commitment to bring 2 new courses to us per year, then figure out a way to make it happen outside of Europe if need be (but skip the Tru Golf, thank you very much).  New courses are the true content of this site.  All else are bells and whistles.  C

Totally agree with this. Seems if the issue is procuring the rights for these courses (or the members allowing it), then WGT should concentrate on other courses, which may not be as prestigious as the Open and US Open Courses, but still great courses.

Many golf clubs are struggling financially around the world and this game would help them market their course and they would probably jump through hoops to get the exposure WGT could offer. I personally do not care which continent the course is on as long as we get a new course(s).

I have even played some municipal/public courses around the world that are very good courses and whilst not in the same catagorry as the US Open Courses, would still be a vast improvement on nothing at all.

I have never and will never play on the TruGolf courses. I already paid for equipment so theres no way I will pay fees to play on a virtually made course.

Get Legs - Rick bon Dock & Co.

You are missing 2 very good courses. But I too have never actually paid a green fee, I play them in Ready Go's when they are available. And Every once in a while they are featured in the free weekly tourneys.
