That is only fair.  If the course gets back up, it will be because Avatar and I refuse to play under those wind conditions and are sitting down on the 7th green.

Calculating for two min?  Can you please help me understand this?  I've been doing this for about two months and am having a tough time on approaches?  What do you do to calculate?  If it's wind is there some formula you use to figure out how far left or right, or how many more or less yards?  What about amount of backspin?

Dont bother, it makes no sense when a wedge with 110 carry will go 103 into a 20mph wind and a 9 iron = 135 will only go 112

Logic would depict sum sort of % per degree of wind but it dont seem too work that way

    The game is just screwed

Today is the last day of the qualifying round of the Virtual Open Championship!

With just a little under a day remaining we currently have 203 qualified players who are at or below the current cut line of  63 (-9)97 of those players are sitting right on the cut, but are not likely feeling any pressure.   In order for the cut to drop to 62 in the final day 50 new players will need to go below 63.  Crazier things have happened, but a 63 is looking like it's going to get it done.

Last chance to get those Virtual Open Championship scores in the books!  All putts must be in the bottom of the cup on #18 by 11:59PM PDT on Sunday, July 18th otherwise your round will not count towards qualifying!

Good Luck to all players still searching for that 63 and some last minute magic!

Schedule for the Final Rounds of the Virtual Open Championship:

Round 1: 1:00 AM PDT July 19th - 11:59PM PDT July 22nd (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur)

Round 2: 1:00 AM PDT July 23rd - 11:59PM PDT July 25th (Fri, Sat, Sun)

All times are listed as Pacific Daylight Time (GMT -7).

Virtual Open Championship qualifying is now over!  Congratulations to the 210 players who were able to make the cut which fell at 63 (-9).

The first round will be getting underway shortly and will conclude at 11:59PM PDT on Thursday, July 22nd!  Round 1 must be completed by this time or you will be withdrawn from the tournament!  Both final rounds will be single play.  You only get one shot, so do your best and make it count!

Best of luck to everyone in Round 1!

New pins, guys! Interesting but obviously more complicated, as we´re not used to them.

Spanish power continues to conquer sport, two spaniards topping the leaderboard :)

I can't believe it!  I just shot a 62 and currently lead the Open!  Would you believe my round included a double bogey on the 2nd!  If only I had got that one right.

Sure my score will be bettered but am pretty chuffed to be in the lead.  Loving the course set up by the way, some really nice flag positions, a real challenge.  Still not sure how I got a 62!
