Well said Mr Snaike. Mr Funstuff, do you play real golf? If you do do you get upset if a bird flies in front of you while your swinging? Just asking.

Did you ever notice after you hit a drive WGT shows you a picture of a broken tee ???   In real golf I never break a tee.  Never.  In fact I've been playing for 34 years with the same tee.  This broken tee is visually offensive to me.   Can you please either remove it or give us "non tee breaking" golfers the option to not see a broken tee after every tee shot.

Sound ridiculous ???    No more than the entire previous thread.

If indeed tees never break in real life golf, then your point and request are not ridiculous at all.

As for the thing about the bird flying in front of me and being a distraction, I assume that the intended point is this : golf is played in all sorts of circumstances and in spite of them, and one should accept that as being part of golf, OK. But I don't think this point, however valid it is, invalidates my previous argument.

Let me please add the following : while some of you shrug off with a sneer my utter discontent as regards the new in-game credits display, arguing that it's a mere detail not worth getting upset about, I assert that true greatness comes precisely from an attention to detail and a willingness to pursue the utmost excellence. As soon as you tolerate even the smallest amount of mediocrity, you lapse complacently into a mentality of slapdash work that leaves a lot to be desired.

Now, it so happens that the new in-game credits display is graphically mediocre or plain unsightly (a matter of proportions in a confined -- now crowded and awkward looking -- space), and for an otherwise stunningly beautiful video game, that is truly unfortunate.

Furthermore, I contend that no one buys credits while playing a game, since you cannot upgrade your equipment during that time. It is then virtually pointless. But it is also in my perception a form of marketing harassment to encourage players to buy credits. Do you want that constantly in your face while playing a game? NOT ME!

Finally, after looking more closely at the tee following a drive, it seems to me that it is not broken, but merely yanked out of the ground by the sheer force of the strike. Doesn't that happen in real golf?

There is a very useful convenience this feature provides that you are either not aware of, or choose to ignore in attempting to make your point.  You can quickly and easily buy credits and more balls if you forgot to do so before starting your game.  I just did this today, and I'm glad it was right there.  Thanks WGT!

Funstuff may be right ... I think we should poll the 50,000 people who play this game on a regular basis ... and ask them the one thing that disturbs them the most ... and insist that WGT fix it or I we will stop playing the game.    I'll start the list:

    1. Funstuff - the tiny orange dot on top by your name
    2. lvietri - Please make the tee break ...Now that Fun Stuff has pointed it out to me ... I realize the tee is just pulling out of the ground.   This is unrealistic as I reall break a tee EVERY TIME I hit the ball off the tee but was ashamed to admit the flaw in my swing.   Please give us the option to either have the tee break or not break based on our real game.  The distraction is killing my game.

Feel free to add to the list as you see fit.

i use brush tees, you really got to hit it like sh*t to break those. on the topic though i look at the swing meter not the credit meter when i play.  JB

If indeed some of you find the in-game credits display useful at times, so be it, but what about the many of us who don't care to have it, and worse yet, utterly despise it for its awkward appearance and invasive monetary purpose at a time when graphical appeal and undistracting simplicity are of the greatest importance? PLEASE, WGT, create ASAP the option to remove the in-game credits display!

Fun ..so far i count 3 out of thousands of players who care enough about this to say something.   WGT can't respond to every single thing people would like.

Although maybe if you ask nicely WGT will check with you before they release new features to see if you like them.

Trust me .. it's not that big a deal.  Go play and have some fun.

    Uhh...that would be nothing.

Actually, please don't. Next thing you know, we'll be charged for new tees.
