    DEREK TRUCKS

Here he is playing alongside Clapton. If you don't know him he's the guy with the blond ponytail.

At around 4:30 Clapton does a one minute solo followed at around 5:30 by Derek's one minute solo. You be the judge.

Who's better? Who cares! They're both great.

Havent had the opportunity to see Clapton play live.

I've seen Santana and a few others though.

I've been playing guitar since 1981

    I own a Cole Clark FL1 & a Gibson LP Supreme.

Some of my favourite guitarists are:

    Steve Howe
    Joe Walsh
    Lenny Kaye
    David Gilmour
    Santana
    Jerry Garcia
    Robert Johnson
    Lloyd Speigel
    Robin Trower
    Jeff Beck
    Ry Cooder
    Roy Orbison
    Angus Young
    Tommy Emmanuel
    Mick Harvey
    Ed Kuepper
    John Mayer
    Jimmy Page
    Jimi Hendrix
    Frank Zappa
    Steve Vai
    Joe Bonamassa
    Stevie Ray Vaughan
    Jack White
    Robin Guthrie
    Omar Rodriguez-Lopez
    John Frusciante
    John Petrucci

..just to name a few i can remember right now

Here's a little Australian Lloyd Spiegel on his Cole Clark, doing a song he wrote for his new born son.

I appreciate the talents of all the greats mentioned including many who haven't yet been mentioned.

But I'm 61 and have been playing for 49 years, so probably won't be giving up until the reaper comes for my cold, dead hands.

For a real treat, search utube for Scotty Anderson.

Shrude, tyvm for posting that vid...Scotty is truly a demon, incredible player.  I particularly like his duets with Bob Saxton.

And thanks for the kind words, but I'm hardly a pimple on the a$$ of players like this.

btw, I'll wager you're no slouch yer ownself!

If I played this game like I play guitar I'd be a tour legend.  However I've been playing for 40+ years and this game just 3 months.  I just bought a new 12 string and that was a bit much more than the new clubs I bought here.  Got any video of Arnold Palmer at Pleasant Valley?

A 12-string is a beautiful instrument...until it's time to restring it.  j/k, congrats and a belated welcome to wgt.  Always nice to meet a fellow picker.

Timnator, if you're talking about Prince, it's not a surprise to folks who know music...he's a beast of a guitar player.  Glad you posted the vid.
