    anthonyvp1:

You are NOT talking to the community, you are talking with the customers. This IS a business and you represent WGT. Shame on you...and I would also take you to the office to make it clear NOT to talk to MY customers that way.

    C'mon man!

Don't crucify the guy for having a bad day. After all the stress he's been under for the past month and a half with being bombarded with information (that were different to the ones he had) about the new system while preparing the chat on Twitch, only to see people attacking the idea they would get a bonus (which I don't really like, so I have a right to pass it up) for their regular (for some) monthly purchase. I'd flip out as well.

I hope Pizza's boss is as understanding as mine and allows employees to lash out every now and then, but only in cases where the customer is being a real a$$. I for one could not stay in a job where I'd have to be nice to every jackass around. It's not like Pizza ever did this before, so give the guy a break. I don't think anybody here wants to get him fired, right?

Employees can NEVER "lash out". Period. You can be cordial and firm.

Who said anything about getting fired?. I feel sorry for WGTpizza and other hall monitors because of the crap flung their way. Lately there has been post threads ended because they "had enough" or "don't like that way the post is going".

If they just fixed the top five complaints at least 70% of the posts would disappear.

I've been managing retail locations and was a rep for different companies. Business rule #1 The customer is always right. There are customers who are just rude and/or over demanding to a point where you HAVE to give a refund and tell them  "It's apparent to us that we will never satisfy you and prefer you to take your business elsewhere"

Do you think there is a difference between the retail industry and the video game industry, particularly the involvement level of the employees with it's clients? Does Macy's have an online "community" anywhere near what we have?

I appreciate your contribution, but your experience is in a completely different world.

If I tried to execute this ancient business model, I would be outed as a fake and a phony, because our community is too smart to take biased praise and endless compromise. I am in a position where the community needs to feel that their message is heard and that comes with a level of trust. I won't get that trust if I pander.

Besides, that's the OPPOSITE of what my position is. I am not WGT PR. The purpose of my position is to facilitate communication between WGT and it's community. The community will not respect me if I don't have an opinion. I am not WGT-bot.

Yes, I got heated, yes I used some sarcasm, but I stand by my sentiment - I am disappointed at the reaction by some of our community members to WGT giving out free product over the holidays.

Sometimes the players will do something I don't agree with. I haven't seen you around lately, anthonyvp1, but if you have been reading the forums you would know that I am involved with this community on a MUCH deeper level than the involvement you are describing as what should be expected of a WGT employee. I apologize for using sarcasm and expressing my opinion in not such a classy manner.

I listened to that chat again and I was lead to believe this was going to be free rental weekend. Then read all the chat and it ended up way off subject. Free ball thing and all. And if you do read it, does say 1 ball. Up to you if you wish to get credits i guess.

I was just hoping someone clear up weekend thing. But being Saturday night here I am assuming not happening. lol Just a wild guess...

I agree with others that would be nice to have some sales on product that we can use. It just kills me to spend money on avatars when can be spending on balls or clubs or even my grandkids.

I have no hopes in this game to play as well as others due to some of my own limitations with hands. But have fun in my CC just the same. When not fun anymore will just stop playing.

And as others I just went way off subject..sorry. lol

sorry man, with respect, i disagree ..

the fact is the customer isn't always right .. i for one don't like brain dead suck-ups patronizing me .. i can't have any respect for such a person .. if u don't have an opinion, you are nuthin' but a trained puppy ..

we need mediators with opinions, who are human, and who can facilitate lively, and sometimes heated, interaction .. we need dialogue, not monologue .. nuthin' wrong with discourse where conflicting opinions are held ..

there's a difference between arguing and making an argument .. but i prefer people who can passionately present a point of view even though it might be in conflict with my own .. and i can appreciate such a person even more when he affirms his position without resorting to kiddy-tantrum tactics ..

often i find that the opinions expressed by the "customers" really reflect an appalling attitude .. very inward centered .. " i want, i want ... me,me,me ... and God help you if u don't gimme gimme" ..

one only needs to consider the scenes found at huge clearance- or discount promos to take in the total disregard people can display towards one another .. shameful really .. embarrassing .. pitiful

likewise there'll be opinions on this at odds with my own .. and if u express them, do it with some style ..

    peace

So the Free rental is not happening, Chad's snaid reference to a holiday weekend can only have meant this weekend as who in their right mind would refer to Christmas as a holiday weekend when the days are not even on weekend days.

Why the hell doesn't Pizza clear up the confusion and tell us straight when the bloody free rental is gonna happen. Preferably with specific dates and not same vague reference to a "holiday weekend" that more than half the world couldn't give tuppence about.

Jeez, you Americans can be so insular at times, it beggars belief.
