    MBaggese:

    Penners:
I agree many TL's are probably put off my ruining their Average.

Also, many may have gotten what I did...made the turn at 5 under, birdied 10 and my score card screen locked up with an ad "end of the Road"..or similar..after restarting my browser I played 11 through 18 with no lie indicators..least I didn't lose a ball, but did give back a lot of strokes.

That's a shame and un-necessary brutality on top of the conditions. Did you find St A(while you still had the grids) easier or harder to play than Kiawah and did you get any practice in before you played?  What's the wind and green speeds for TL's?

Who cares wot conditions TL's have, the Legends have heavy winds and championship speed greens. I have just completed my 2nd Rd, and sure enough WGT booted me as I was putting out on 15.

So a restart of the browser and play the last 3 holes with no grid, not fair or right at all.

I've sent a stiff email to WGT Member services and fully expect some compensation, as this is simply not good enough.

P.S. I think STA is much much easier than Kiawah, even with these conditions.

You want the entry fee back or just something for nothing?

If I could play with either UEL and Legend greens or even lies and Champ greens, I'd choose the former on Kiawah and the latter on St. Andrews.

I carded 3 18s on Kiawah plus the final at St. A.  Of those, I handled the UEL best on the very first round, with a single-digit average to the pin.  Unfortunately, my putting just killed me on Kiawah.

In the final round I don't think I put a fairway approach within 10 feet more than 3 times.

Best shot:  At. A #7 approach.  My tee shot rolled to an improbable stop halfway up the far slope of the bowl in front of the shell bunker.  Knocked it to 7 feet with the help of a nice long roll-out.

Worst shot:  18th approach on St. A, a 9 iron into the wind.  Just an awful combination of bad shot selection, giving the lie effect too little credit, and missing the ding.  Landed on the front slope and rolled back off the green.  Missed a touchy 7-footer for par.  Bogeying the last hole sucks.

It was a heck of a lot of fun.  It took me 90 minutes to play the final 18 (yeah, that's a kind of fun).  I'm looking forward to the next one.

And, of course, I have to add that the UEL effects are still way too unrealistic.  They are playable, but it moves the game a step away from "golf simulation" and a step toward "golf-based entertainment product".

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, I am surprised at you Jim, you are normally better than that.

Anyway my point as you very well know is, that I have lost 2 balls in round 1 due to this glitch and and have used another in round 2, pretty much a wasted effort. Thats 1 sleeve already, another sleeve as a show of good faith from WGT, and finally a sleeve for my birthday for which I  have received not a sausage from any of my so called friends or from WGT.

So all in all I expect a minimum of 3 sleeves from somewhere.

Level 71 Nike 20Xi is my ball of choice.

I think I shall be reviewing my 'friends' list, LOL

I agree, but why did you play, why did you try w/o grid in the first place?

You must have had some fun or have grinded your way to the end for some reward. In any case there's no apparent reason for you to be compensated.

IMHO the only way to get it fixed is not to play at all.

This is because IMHO there are two related questions with a uniform answer in the company's update&bugfix policy:

    1) Will the company win or lose $$? [ ] yes     [ ] no

    2) Will they do anything? (see box checked above)

We have influence on the second answer through the first one.

It was easier than KI (IMO)..maybe becaus I know the greens better...I played through most of the back nine like the front...i/e seemed all my fairways "slants" went with the wind...lol was I wrnog on the back nine:)

I'm not mad, etc..would have liked to have a few looks at the green side misses better, but all in all, the fairwys didn't kill me as much as my missing the ding on those fairway shots.

Tons of fun, and will play more!

    OEJ,

Please dont think Iam tooting my horn...but I played 8 holes without the grids showing...I lost many strokes, but payed attention to how my ball rolled on the fairways...i/e if the ball curled tothe left before coming to a stop...I knew I''d have a right to left slope...just had to suck it up and play...heck, no one looks (least I don't) at your score history to see if you post a 58 or a 78...FFS, who cares?..playing like this for fun is just that, fun!!

I personally would like to thank C and C...(ones an effing *** like me) for what they said (forget if it was Corwin or Cerino)...about withdrawing...I won't dig up the quote, but it kept me in the game on my back nine tossing bogies.
