Oh Eric, what a bummer... So sorry to hear that, especially for such a strong supporter of the Uneven Lies.
Too many good men and women have been struck down by this bug in this tourney... WGT, now that the holidays are over, can you give us any assurances that this bug will receive a high priority fix? I do hope so. As you can see from the interest, it's been an extraordinary tourney that's really shaken up the game in a great way. It's sad that for some of the best players, their chances to finish with a high placing have been severely affected by the bug.
From my own experience, I just finished and got incredibly lucky... I'd played a practice yesterday, and early this morning, and both times been hit by the bug. I went into the real deal feeling as if some of the pressure was off, since I'd likely get a disconnect, and end up playing blind. As it turned out, I got through all 18 holes, and although I started out missing several makeable mid-range putts, they started to drop halfway through front 9.
After that I was shaking all the way through the rest of the round, hanging in there, just thinking Hit the Fairway, Make GIR... Hit the Fairway, Make GIR... Hit the Fairway, Make GIR.
An extraordinary bit of good luck on the Road Hole (when my hotel-bound tee shot somehow bounced out to a perfect lie on the fairway) ... led to ... a sweet birdie, and despite missing a gettable 13 footer on the last, I was home in 64, for the clubhouse Master lead. Details below, for anyone interested.
Phew... That was the most stressful round of golf I've ever played.
Good luck to anyone still out there finishing off today! I hope the golfing gods are with you, as they were with me today.

And don't forget, if you're interested in continuing with Unevens, and while waiting for WGT's next official tourney, why not give our community-organized tourney a go: Tough-It-Out II starts this coming weekend. Unevens with Starter clubs: as tough a challenge as you can get (but with the advantage that your expectations are lower. Old Man Par is the target. Last time we played this our winner was the only one under par over 4 rounds out of a field of 23).
