Pretty sweet machine...I can run any game such as COD4 or Crysis 2 at full Jam. Every other browser based flash or java based game runs great too like Quake live, or Tiger Woods PGA tour online. So WTF is up with this particular game??? Who knows..
I've come up with a tweak which may only work for nvidia card users. Might be that Nvidia card users are the only people experiencing problems with their meter? It would be nice to add a poll.
Anyway...After applying this tweak my meter is smoother than a ducks *** going down at around 60fps. So if you have an nvidia based card in your machine try this..
- Open up your control panel
- Open up your nvidia control panel
- Click manage 3D settings
- Click program settings
- Add whatever browser you use to the list of programs. Then highlight under select a program to customize.
- Next scroll down the settings to Maximum pre-rendered frames. Set this to 0
- Scroll down to power management mode. Set this to prefer maximum performance
- This next step only applies if you have a chip with more than 1 core. Scroll down to threaded optimization and set this to on.
- Click apply on the very bottom right of the page.
- Next you want to add your flash player plugin to the list of programs. My task manager calls it plugin-container.exe. I use mozilla firefox.
- Highlight plugin-container.exe in the list of programs to customize once added.
- Set maximum pre-rendered frames to 0
- Set power management mode to prefer maximum performance
- And again if you`re using a chip with more than 1 core set threaded optimization to on
- Click apply on very bottom right of page
- Restart your computer
Hope this helps some people.
