Olympic #3.  Ridiculous slope right, Sand short with a kicker slope in front of it, and if you're on short left you need to chip from the green over rough (and on to that kicker slope).

Plus there's always a ton of VEM (or, depending on your religion, wind variation exacerbated by the extra 60 foot drop).

On the other hand, there is a great big safe landing area if settling for par is your thing.

I find I'm birdieing Olympic 3 quite a lot. The one I never get close on is Oakmont 8. Any par 3 you have to hit a wood to is going to be tough.

I would say it is between Oakmont #8 and RSG #11 due to the length alone.  Oakmont # 8 @299 even downhill takes a good shot with a driver to get close and RSG #11 with a heavy headwind can also require a choked driver. And the green there being two levels makes it very difficult if you come up short.

I can't have an unkind word for Oakmont #8 after this.

Well even with this I have to say # 11 @ RSG is still a very hard hole.

Uh, Capital #3 is tough. Someone tell me how to drop a shot in the left hand corner. I'm sure the perfect shot will stop there, but I have yet to make it. Birdies are rare, and bogies always threaten even from 5 feet away. I don't play Oakmont much but don't remember any super difficult shots. How come no one plays Capital much? Too difficult is why. Trashes your average. I play there for the purpose of keeping my average down so when I get to Master I will be ready to compete. I can see how easy it would be to get to Master playing easy courses, but then you better be ready to scramble or learn to play with fast meters.

They need to have a senior league for geezers who can't ding much.

#15 @ Bethpage. The green was designed  by a man on LSD!
