Don't hold your breath waiting for this to happen, Rich. The course description from the real site calls these chip-out bunkers and is apparently part of the Oakmont mystique. You'll never have a problem wedging out of them but anything more than getting back into the fairway doesn't look promising.
I figured that's how it would be Jim. It's going to make it that much more difficult than it already is. Oh well, it's still going to be fun.
