Wow, i've been waiting for this feature since Oakmont opened, the tournament greens and tees were just too hard for me. I can't believe there wasn't an announcement about it (or was there). Its got a random 3 hole feature as well... how cool.

Often my wife and i use golfing analogies to work out the length of time we have, to do the dirty deeds. For instance if we don't have much time i'll say "fancy doing a quick 9 holes, before we go out" or if times on our side she might say" fancy doing 18 holes this afternoon" I can't till tonight when i introduce the new random 3 hole feature.......i can see 2 balls going OB before we've even started

As long as you dont tell her "Lets get in a quick 9 holes as long as there is no 40-50% rough around the hole" you should be good.

It appears if you have qualified the stroke play option at Oakmont to practice is not available. When selecting stroke play there it immediately takes you to the Open window and your only choice is to play the Open.

If this is the case then starting a multi player practice round there would be a workaround.

Given that according to WGTNiv it is available do you need to clear your Flash cache to get it?

YJ, from the oakmont window click experienace oakmont, then play single player, then you can select playing 9, 18 and 3 holes, ranked or practice.  I have qualified and can click both options, you just need to go through the oakmont lobby, not the main single player lobby.

Griffygrif, one more for the road.  I would avoid asking "think we got time to play the back 9?"  most women dont like that.

Thanks, Neil. I was afraid to try that for fear of winding up on the Open Tee.

Hey WGT, now that we can play Oakmont in single player, and practice rounds, how about loosening-up the bunkers a little-bit. The bunkers are still set to tournament conditions, and are harder then Chinese math to get out of. Let's keep it real.  : )

haha, that was funny. Little *** went rogue on me.  Had a nice 28 on Oakmont front in qualifying, then got me in the clicker finger with a tiny chinese star that only allowed for a -1 on the back.
