Tiger poised to go World #1

  Tiger Woods' attempt to return to the world No1 ranking will resume on Monday after the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando was abandoned amid heavy storms and lightning on Sunday.

  The 37-year-old will regain the top spot he has held for 623 weeks across his careerfrom Rory McIlroy if he wins the event at Bay Hill and a birdie at the 2nd, the last hole he managed before the rain, leaves him three shots ahead of Keegan Bradley, Ken Duke, Rickie Fowler and John Huh.

  I got a lot of time for Rory.......but would enjoy seeing Tiger get back to world #1 and then pull the pants down and moon to everyone who thought he was finished & past his sell by date :)

  I got this weeks Golf Week Saturday and many people including a few of their editors were bashing Rory and couple of others for turning down Arnold Palmer's invitation to play in his tournament. As one letter said when Arnie asks you to play unless you are on your death bed you show up,just to show respect for one of the true legends of the game.

  Usual carry on with sportsmen. Behave as they like but as long as they are successful in their chosen profession, they seem to be able to do as they please.

  Remember 'Shagger's'  false tears and him begging forgiveness? ...... 'aye, to the tune of $100Million' replied Mrs W.  lol

  I reckon our editors across the pond are still hurting from the Ryder Cup lesson.
