I'm working on "putt from the bunker " shot, but that's not going too good.  ;)

Yeah the Texas Wedge won't work here. The walls are just too high.

But I have made a couple of longish birdie putts from the fairway.

I'll just repeat what I said to Courteneyfish, sarcasm doesn't really add to the debate, I think it show's you're losing the argument and that's your best shot.

So I won't reply to any of these amazing 'observations' you make. Guilty!

lol....you won't reply?...your next 5 or 6 immediate posts say differently.  But anyway..to the original point. Your opinion is ban wedges in the putting blitz. Mine is allow any club the game includes. I guess the beauty is, we are both entitled to our opinions, and to post them freely in the forums. I'd say that is a win for both of us...regardless of our different opinions. I rarely ever play putting bltz for credits...and as mentioned, if I do, I always ask if it offends anyone....That is a courtesy to those who hold the same opinion as you.....although, I have absolutely no obligation to do so.   I have no intention of stopping my use of wedges in the scored mode becasue it is just a game for fun and practice. I will admit, I can't wedge or putt for a damn on #9...been using driver/punch on that shot for a while now....I'm sure that offends also.  Sorry...well...no...I'm not.

"So I won't reply to any of these amazing 'observations' you make. Guilty!"

Maybe you didn't spot it Ducati, but I was been sarcastic.  :-)

So I changed my mind and replied, so what?  If you are going to comment on my posts, maybe you should read them properly. This is not my thread, the original poster emhasised Blitz's.

I will repeat it here where I stand, I've no objections to guys using the wedge in no stake solo games or agreement with other players in challenges, but for the credit and prizes etc putting competitons, I think putting should be what it says, putting, and using a putter!

Romax above has just shown why using the wedge on the green is so popular, it's too easy!  The 'wedgies' aren't interested in the skill and good sportng nature of the art of putting, they just want easy winnings to boost their s/lagging golf egos and credit accounts.

All this has opened my eyes more about WGT and has soured my opinion of the so called 'sportsmen' here, but never of golf, the greatest game in the world.

I rest my case. My petition is pending, if it fails, well at least I tried.  But I think the members should decide, majority wins.

We know it's nothing new, there is more than one example of this being used in the pro game. The point is (as has been made before) that  it's rarely done, and what you see here is NOT a putting competition, that's the difference.

One other difference is that pro players only use this as a last resort, but not the wedgies on WGt, it's the win at all costs mentality and damn the begrudgers.

Excuse me ???  Number 1 ... I don't play for credits.About the only time I ever do is if a friend is short of credits and we want to do Cabo or Whistler. I will forfeit on the first hole and off to Cabo we go.

As far as the shot being easy, well it's not easy and takes a lot of practice. I use the shot whether playing alone or in a group. I too always ask if anyone minds. The idea of getting the ball in the hole with the fewest strokes possible keeps popping into my head when I golf. Is that not the object of the game ??

I will look forward to your replay of this "easy" shot.

If it would not be easier than a putt, when the situation is made tricky, for a putting competition, you would not use it.
