So....and this is gettng really old already...you and Dubfore don't agree with the rules of golf and/or the rules of WGT. Both sets say you can carry 14 clubs...
FFS, are you stupid? How can you bring back that argument after reading our arguments? You can disagree with our arguments, but you simply ignore them, as if we are talking into thin air. Actually, we probably do.

    there is no argument
There are plenty, but you have none.

...and, before you bring up the stupid "rules of golf" non-argument again - according to those rules, putting blitz is not golf.

Golf is defined, in the rules of golf, as "playing a ball with a club from the teeing ground into the hole by a stroke or successive strokes in accordance with the Rules."

I am considering starting a petition on WGT to try get this changed.  What do you think, would you sign it?

    I would sign it.

IMO, when a game is called a "Putting Challenge" (or anything other than a standard round of Golf, for that matter), the organizers have not just a right, but a duty, to make the rules such that the game is played in the spirit in which it was intended.

so...on one line, you say  "before I bring up the stupid rules of golf non-argument"...and then on the next line you talk about the "rules of golf"...which is it?    are we talking about rules or not?

This is a video game that simulates golf. Using a wedge on a green is programed as an allowable feature. Whether it is easier, harder, unsportsmanlike, or gaining an advantage are all irrelevant. If I sent you some cheese for your whine, would that make you happy?

Sigh, I guess you are just trolling because you can not possibly be that thick.

Take a deep breath and relax. This whole argument is simply because of the way the competition has been named.

Putts are counted as putts no matter what club is used after the ball rests on the green. Thus, a putting challenge only indicates that all strokes are to be taken after the ball rests on the green.

To limit the competition to putters only, WGT should be naming the competition using the term "putters only" instead of "putting". "Putters Only Blitz" is quite different from "Putting Blitz". That would restrict the club use as opposed to the current reference to location but not the club..

Whether or not we don't see eye to eye in these threads, it's not worth getting your blood pressure up arguing about it. Current rules allow it. Limiting a competition to "putters only" probably belongs in the "Product Suggestions" part of the forum.

We are all entitled to  our opinion Cort, and mine is not exclusive, I just happen to agree with a lot of the points made here. Your short sarcastic one liners aren't really adding to the debate.

That's the whole point there in a nutshell, it's a putting competition, or supposed to be anyway.
