As many of you are already aware, WGT has relatively recently run into problems with random choice players for ALT or Stroke play. The display often reads 18 holes, even if it is nine holes, and foursomes playing 18 holes without a bathroom (loo) break for the hour plus that it often takes, causes dropouts.
Players mostly want to play these foursomes for just nine holes.
The problem occurs when the person who creates a foursome doesn't care which course they will play, and the system doesn't allow (at this time) a choice for 9 or 18 holes unless a specific course is chosen!
So, to get around these 18 hole displays (which cause many players to drop out), simply PICK a COURSE, and the choice for 9 or 18 will appear.
For others, have confidence that more often than not, it WILL BE 9 holes!
WGT, if you read this, that is why and how this problem can be rectified at the programming level, or simply default ALL foursomes to display 9 holes unless otherwise chosen by selection. Logical?
