What people forget (or too young to really know) is that she came to power in a LANDSLIDE victory. The country was broke! Bodies in the street.........People seem to forget the union's who would not let people work often enough to get a wage...and working people were saying that! People forget or simply not around to know about the loony left / champagne socialism that was there! I feel as bad as any one for mining communities but what about the Union's that could not tell Sh%t from clay and would not negotiate modernising, just wanted another all out, no need to ask it's member's .....................................and bring yet another government down. I don't remember one new owner of their council house complaining. OK housing problems now but how many were added during the many prosperous years after her? None!
The country needed a shake up and she left it prosperous........... Mistakes have been made but not all by her!
I sometimes think we all need to take a step back....Where did any of us buy our last HI-FI system? Any regard to where it came from or who was making it for how much? We all continuously just drive prices down, no regard to welfare at time of purchase! I am as guilty as any one for that!
