Merion Toughest Hole?

    Very nice shot indeed.

    I play hole 5 like this. I've managed to do this a few times now. Hole 6 is still a hard hole for me to birdie.

    Play it off the side of the bunker on the left. Drop the shot on the fringe and it rolls down to the hole.

    Pretty risky way to play that hole - brings bogey into play with the bunker and "weeds" between the bunker and green.

    Agreed. It doesn't always work out like the replay shows. I'm going to try Villadero's approach.

    Will do. I was over protecting the ball from the bunker playing to the right of the flag which left me a long uphill putt that I always left short, or it rolled back down the hill.

    Thanks for the tip. Birdieing holes five and six will make for a good round.

    Anything to the right of the pin rolls away and leaves a tough bender. There's plenty of room to miss the bunker and land on the slope. Running up to the pin from the left works for the faint of heart.  :-)
