  Well I guess if you a not a Tour Legend Level 4,880,000 you have no change at posting a reasonable score on Merion.

  While not the greatest putter, I rarely 3 putt or miss 6 -10 footers.  Putting on this course is a joke.  30 footer fast downhill no break.  Pick the same stroke as Beth, Cong, etc. 15 feet past the hole.  On Tournament Greens, so that's not the issue.

  No matter the hole if you land within 4 ft, you end up with what seems like a 20" break and you putt what should be proper distance and you end up a foot short with a 20" break the opposite direction.

  Is it me, or did a 4 putt within 20' for #11 just make me loose my mind?

  Well I think there are more qualifying spots than there are Tour Legends...

  There are about 300 TLs in USA alone :)

  (approx. 80 in GB)

  Edit: 156 + ties will qualify.

  Putting on this course is a joke. 

  While my 71 finish was far from brilliant, I managed a round without 3(+)-putts. Noticed some short-coming uphill putts though. These greens are as tricky as Olympic at least.

  This course is a joke, period. I have never seen anything so unrealistic, and yet the top scores are <60 ????????????

  Get real WGT, you make it unpleasant and not worth the effort.

  It's the big tournament of the year, just like in real life only the very best will score well. It's how it should be.

  I'm not a tour legend and I shot 58. Granted, that's about 7-8 shots better than I really am. My putting was hot and I eagled two approaches. No, it's no joke.

  its not a joke, visually it looks really nice. the scores that are able to be posted are the joke.
