....The Quali period is nearly 2 months. I'm taking it nice and slow and learning the bounces and rolls of the place first. I've been playing back and forth between Even Lies and Uneven Lies

Hell, how do you play uneven lies at Marion?,

I have tried to set up a practice game but only with a group. Can you play on you on?

I'm sick of people who criticize players for calling attention to those ridiculous Leader board scores with the tired rant about them simply not being "good enough! BS

I mean....come on..........the cut line is currently -10 under Par on a course with greens this sloped and tough? Give me a friggin break WGT....what the hell is realistic about THAT?

When , as in REAL golf, has there EVER been a tourney on WGT, with a cut line over par? NEVER

I've been here for years and I've given up on tourneys because its a waste of time.  The only thing realistic about WGT is that it's exclusionary to a specific group of people who can't shoot in the 50's and 60's........ and for all intents and purposes, prevents everyone from being able to compete on a fair for all playing field.

That's why i stick to playing skins games or one on one matches now, because the cheats have all the tourneys locked up. In real golf, it's news when a player has a killer day and shoots a round in the 50's......unlike WGT where it's a common occurrence!

I've said it before , I'll say it again, there is no legit way to consistently shoot in the 50's., because WGT throws in too many random curve balls for those scores to be possible. Winds, green conditions, shots not always doing what you expect and your basic run of the mill technical glitches makes it an impossibility to achieve those scores on a consistent basis legitimately.

You sir, win the prize of maximum Diarrhea flow from the mouth.

You have starter clubs equipped. Maybe that's why you cant shoot -5 in 9 holes?

Absolutely realistic, this is an internet game based on golf, it isn't real golf.

It took me 23 completed rounds to shoot a 57, add to that at least another 20 restarts where I had played at least 6 holes. Every approach shot I hit I took a note of the distance, wind and elevation and then the club and spin. I've got 18 pages of notes to refer to. Of the other 22 rounds I had six 59s, six 60s and six 61s all legitimately.

That took me close to 24 hours over 2 days, a serious amount of effort and grind to get that one score that should qualify. There are many many players better than me that won't require that effort.

I could get seriously pissed at people like you who make sweeping statements like you have above but I don't, I used to think that way myself. Just because you cannot do something yourself does not mean there aren't many out there who have more ability, more determination and dedication than yourself that can. I can assure you there are loads of them.

Would you concede it's entirely possible here to hit every green in regulation within a 20 foot circle? Good. Now imagine players that treat 20 footers as tap ins. LOL

It always comes down to putting.   :-)

.......And just using your statement with nothing personal just as an example.....that is the problem with this WGT qualifier wreck!...In real golf, I may remind the folks here that to qualify for the US open you have(1..!!! ) shot on qual day to post a good round & make it to the Dance !

If WGT wants to be at least somewhat close to that, heres what has to be done......The Merion course is open to all to practice day & night under any situation you may come across. High wind..low wind, Tournament speed,....on, & on!......So practice til your fingers go numb, AND then pick a day where you go & QUALIFY just 1 time & post your best score!....THAT will show where the cream of the crop lies !

This is the same as the WGT's best of  ( hmmm  ) putting  ......players practice the same putt  a thousand times, then post it to the folks here & and say....look a HOLE IN ONE...::))..give me a break:).......DO IT the first time, and I will be the first to say WELL DONE..!

I wouldn't object to the qualifier being played in that manner but in all honesty it's not really that different to the set up we have. The qualifier has been my practice, if the score is good enough then I'll have two rounds on single play to do the best I can.

Sometimes you get lucky and the good round comes early, sometimes it takes a lot of effort. WGT makes money out of people playing so the set up is the way it is in order to maximise revenue. In my own case I have played way more than I normally do these last few days so from WGT's point it works.
