  I'd have to go with Merion too.  I don't think any other course has so many holes where par is considered a good result. 

  Or where a birdie putt can suddenly end up with a tricky putt to make bogie.

  my 4 toughest  Courses ,    N1 : and the hardest one for me  Merion.     N2: Olym      N3: Oakm . N4: Whisler   ..........    My favorite   4 courses N1 : BPB  .N2: Kiawah . N3:St-An .N4:Congress.

  Of the proper courses Merion. I loathe Whistler because of its greens but might be better at it if I didn't refuse to play it...

  Olympic definitely the hardest...followed by Merion (which really isnt that difficult) and then maybe Bethpage...really cant think of a hard 1 besides Merion & Olympic.

  Apex's list on the first page is pretty much mine.  Oakmont is nasty because of tree interference.  That aside, Merion and Olympic are nightmares, specifically on greens.  RSG has annoying greens as well, not to mention a hard wind.  The rest are manageable.

  This is with low to medium winds, St andy and RSG would move higher with heavy winds
