I'm a relative newbie but levelling up quick and master after 3 months playing. Im surprised Pinehurst hasn't been near the top of more lists. Is it a newish course? The par 3 courses really need notetaking for each individual hole (to really pinpoint them) but as clubs change with tiering up I'm unlikely to take these notes as I will probably upgrade driver and irons again, but not too soon.
Based on my results (18 holes) so far here are my toughest to easiest courses:
1. Best of par 4 +4 (my best score so far although only played it once or twice)
2. Pinehurst -2
2. Brandon Dunes -2
2. Best of par 3 -2 (don't play this often as it doesn't contribute to average)
3. Merrion -4 66 (but tourney greens destroy me here)
4. Olympic -6 (always find F9 tough)
4. St Andrews -6 (I always find Back 9 tough here)
4. Congressional -6
4. Bethpage -6
4. Best of Famous Holes -6
4. Best of par 5 -6 (havent played this often as it doesn't contribute to average)
5. Oakmont -7
5. Cabo de Sol -7 (only played it once or twice but it is a comparatively easy course)
6. Kiawah Is -9
7. St Georges -10
