We'd still love to see players setting up CC tournaments be given the "option" to have members play CC tournaments in groups of 2, 3 or 4 ... like they do on tour.   I understand one player can give tips to others .. but that would be up to the folks who sets up the tournament to decide if they want to allow it or not.

We don't do any big credit CC tournaments ... but it sure would be fun to play with my buddies in these.

The L93 Driver is the same as the L98 R1....  is the specs a typo or is it the way it is

    -Roger

Taylormade put the Black R1 out as a limited edition so we are doing the same.  Because of this we lowered the level to 93 to give more players the ability to play the club.

Put in laymens terms,WGT have found a new cash Cow after everyone complained that WGT moved the R11S driver from level 91 to 94 and was out of reach of some,so they decided how can we appease these players whilst rolling in the cash for ourselves? Lets give them the lvl 98 driver painted Black and charge them an extra $10 for the privelige over the lvl 94 R11S driver lol.

I do like the other CC upgrades,i already have the level 98 driver so the new driver i have no need for,but i suppose i'm just getting cynical in my old age as regards to the reasons they have introduced the level 98 driver and put it at level 93.

    It makes them money dummy

Lol your calling me a dummy,if you bothered to read my post properly, you would see i had already addressed that point!! i also gave me being cynical as the reason why i thought this.

Now go play with the traffic.

    Russell

Don't think he was ...I think he was refering to ppl like me who SPEND to get it ?

    An apostrophe would've help...

But if he was calling you a dummy and being so erroneous in his response then I think the M1 motorway is underutilized ....?

Edit..however on the flip side if he was chatting about ppl like me THEN it is non of his f*ckin business what I spend my hard earned on..( I say hard earned..:-))) )

    Ether way he's a d*ck in the extreme....or just stupid ?  Can't legislate for that !

    Andy

Edit, sorry OEJ but I call it as I see it...not who posted it !

I don't care for the 3-click meter.  maybe if you could click with the keyboard I would...maybe.  I have gotten used to the "original" so I hope you don;t take it away.  I do agree that the word "original" in the top left corner of the meter is a bit distracting.

    Thanks for the other updates.

It looks like I'll be half way through level 92 when the Limited Edition driver disappears. Is it any wonder people pack up playing this game?

    Less typing more golfing... =]

Was going to say that a while back...instead of the 'more surveys, buy boosts' post but didn't want to be accused of being.....? eh C  :))

You've gone from the sublime to the ridiculous lately.....the one liners are not enough at times...Ambiguity is just that..

Say what you mean and mean what you say (I may have directed that statement towards you in the past)

If you have a clear cut opinion on any given subject then espouse on it....surely ?

Any positive feedback on the performance of the R1 L93?  I'm halfway through level 96 and figure it will take me 10 months to get to L98 so this could be a good thing for me if indeed the club performs as expected.

I was thinking it odd to have an update the last week of June rather than next week.  Also thought hmmm...the R1 will give a big boost to the June revenue I wonder if they need it?...but then I thought next week has the July 4th holiday in the US so that's why the update was done now..but who knows....

Ok, I tried the new meters.

Vertical: Not good that it follows the avatar around the screen.  Fixed location would be better.  Grab it mid screen and your cursor can move off the window so learn to grab it on the bottom. Unlike others, it did seem smoother to me on FireFox.  I like the experiment of using a solid color (no gradient) on the meter.  That was suggested by TightRope as a meter stutter improvement.  Maybe that's why it's smoother?

3-Click: Not good for those who use avatar moves or those who use maximum scales on putting.  Also, meter backswing is very, very fast down in the 10 to 20% range and will make those short breaking putts in the 2 to 4 ft range overly difficult to get the speed right.

Original: Delete the word Original...we can tell.    (in fact remove the word from all of them)

Make the enhancements suggested by members, keep them as options and we'll choose the one we like.  If you keep them as options then consider adding Meter Type as an option in game/CC tournament setups.

If in an experimental mood WGT, remove the gradient from the Original meter.  And while your at it, release the fix that removed the Friends List Updates during our turn to hit.  Let us see if it helps stop meter stutters and jumps.

I don't know if this would be possible, but a combo meter.  The 3-click on drives and approaches, but whenever a putter is used, it switches to the original meter.

Again, just another option.  I like the idea of options rather than just 1 meter for everybody.

    Country Club Improvements

There are tens of thousands of virtual country clubs on WGT, and based on member feedback, we've just made WGT Country Clubs even better, with new tournaments options for Tiers, Uneven Lies, and single-play closest-to-the-hole...plus the availability of U.S. Open course Merion for Country Club private tournaments.

These WGT sponsored  tournaments would be awesome if they were added to the regular weekly setup, assuming they are all single- player.   Multi-Player options are what we really need.

They may not want to interfere with the V USOpen?
