  Watch out, some people are saying it's ripoff, that it's not performing like the level 98 driver, or even as good as the R11S. I just would like to know when is that limited driver expiring. I'm at level 92 right now and still a long way from 93. It looks like the same thing might happen again to many people, stuck just one level below when a top driver becomes available.

  I've played 4 rounds with a friend who had level 98 R1 and i had level 93 R1, at Congressional, RSG, best of famous and bethpage.  We both used identical spin on every hole and most holes where my ball landed, his ball would bounce near my ball and continue for another 10 to 20 yards. Only on a few holes we had similar drives, but the majority the difference was OBVIOUS.  All WGT seem to have done is disguise the OLD obsolete R11 to fool us and to make easy $$.  This is just my opinion though after playing 4 rounds.  Yes, the obvious thing is the driver being a expensive imitation or it just might show that wgt manipulate shots (if drivers are identical) Go see for yourselves.  I bought the level 98 for $35 thinking i was getting the level 98 driver quicker but after the rounds I've played this afternoon, I feel like Ive been conned and are using a driver which IS NOT the same as R1(white).  Players will not continue to be "ripped-off" in this way.

  I am L92 and worked out I might be able to get in under the radar.  For me and other's like me, or waking up to see this already L93+, perhaps WGT might confirm that the only difference is the colour?  No disrespect to any one above, just horses mouth and all that confirming intent to the community I think!

  For obvious reasons, I can't see that happening. I think it goes back to the R11s fiasco... Lower level players were given access to a good club. High level players were upset because that club was 'too good' for the lower level players. WGT raised the level requirement to get that club to pacify the higher level players, while pissing off a lot of lower level players in the process. I should have know that us lower level peons would not be given the same equipment as the 'old timers' again. Shame on me (!) for not realizing that before I sold my R11s to get the new R1, momentary lack of common sense. My advice, if you have the R11s, don't waste your credits on an inferior club. The black R1 is shorter and less forgiving, don't let the specs fool you.

  To be honest, I haven't seen any comments yet, disagreeing with the above. Neither have I seen anything from WGT to back up the claims they've made, as to it's overall stats. I'm going to be around level 93 in 2 months time, so if I make the cut off point, before they remove the club, I'll have a decision to make. It's not cheap, is it ?

  Enough sensible people have now said as much.......I will not be putting in extra yards to get this.  I will toodle along and get the R11S in due course.  I bought the Versa and good as it is the description was not what one would expect...I can only go by review's and so far nothing that complimentary......very sad!

  I was not holding my breath, but they can make me wrong on that still:)
