90 second clocks - Why?

WGT, can you do people a favor and eliminate the 90 second option for shot clocks?  It's unnecessary.  I just had to drop yet another match intentionally with someone who would milk EVERY possible second from a clock when making a shot - even on 5 foot putts.  I left on the 5th hole and it was already pushing an hour in duration.

60 seconds is more than generous.  If you can't make a shot in a minute, perhaps online golf isn't your forté.

358 rounds? I was a Legend by then, Perhaps you should take more time over your shots. ;-)

Disregard the above, nothing wrong with the 90 sec shot clock, just make sure when looking for random games you select the 60 sec clock and "BAM" all is good. Good Luck and Have fun!

I  think if you cant handle a 90 second  timer, Perhaps online golf is not your forte

I don't finish many matches because of intentionally quitting or a bad internet connection.

Besides, I never said that I was a god at this game.  This is on top of doing quite a bit of tanking to not get legend.

If you ever want to find out how bad I am, feel free to go a practice round with me sometime.  I'm game.  :)

    I don't like to do that because I don't want to hammer a specific clock into stone.  I'll play 60, 45, even 30.  I just can't stand playing 90.

Also, it seems like when I keep an open clock, all my randoms are 90.  It's frustrating.  Usually I don't notice too much, but lately I've been attracting fools who want to milk every second.  It doesn't take anywhere near 90 seconds to make a quality shot.

Nothing like diffusing his point and turning it into him.

@Mike-You might have been dealing with someone using an outside help. Maybe a heads up in private to WGT would be in order? Not that there's much they could/would do but you never know what they might find if they go looking. Just a thought.  :-)

Just because you do not want to waste YOUR most valuable time sitting and pushing buttons until you find a game you want to play with a 60 second clock or less, you want WGT to do away with the 90 second clock for everyone?

You need to read what you wrote, and try to figure out how to justify the removal of the 90 second clock from everyone else, just for YOU!

You must need a 3/4 ton truck just to carry those ba11s around, or your brain will fit inside match box!  Which is it?  My Nickle!

Actually YJ, I accused him of this - although it was mostly out of anger.  He was playing pretty well overall, but there were some shots where he badly missed the mark - so bad that if it was cheat-enhanced, the program had a brain fart.  I mean "iron tee shots going 30 yards short in the rough" bad.

I've encountered a few that just reek of "cheat software", and while this guy did set off a few internal alarms, I wouldn't swear to it.  He was able to hang with me, even though he had worse equipment than I did (which is kind of a shock, since I'm golfing with pawn-shop reject clubs).

I don't mind losing - I lose plenty.  I'd just rather lose to shots in 30 seconds or less.

Asking them to take away the 90 second clock just because you don't like it is silly.  I understand where you are coming from though.

Instead,  how about suggesting something that would help both you and the ones who like the 90 sec cloc...  example...

Just like we can narrow the searches by tier,  let us narrow it down by shot timer also, make it a max timer setting where you pick the longest the timer can be or, chose just one timer specifically.
