Chinajohn... I would love to have you as my pilot, surgeon or attorney.  Not a chance as my golf partner.

Well there!!  Difference for me is that I haven't gotten high in 30 plus years and my brain functions just like yours.  (too much head trauma I think).  I play only with the 90 second timer.  I make decisions as quickly as I can to speed up play but my brain shuts down sometimes in the middle of the round.  Damn I used to be smart, witty and so forth, now I'm just a dope……….but dopes are entitled to play at WGT.  WGT will back me up there because they know my money is good and I give them a lot of it.

Once or twice I have quit because of time constraints and the game (with 4 players) is going too slow.

I say that one has to respect the other players but one is entitled to as much time as is allowed by the clock.  As has been suggested earlier, only play at the 60 second clock and the problem is solved, bada bing, bada bang.

Last thought is that I always sense that there are anger management problems with the guys (and gals) who get all pissed off with guys who use a lot of time to make the shot.

To elaborate here is my 'routine'.

Crikey John, this is longer than a preflight checklist.

I admire your tenacity, I just feel I would not have the patience to do that.

I have no problems with 90 second games, but I mainly play with friends and this gives us plenty of time to "chat". That said, I would say usually I will play before 30 seconds is up, sometimes a little longer on the greens.

I agree with you, Alanti.  Most of the time, I won't even play a match play or alt shot game with a 60 second shot timer.  I don't want to find myself getting a long, double breaker putt setup only to find I don't have the time to take the shot.

Now where the 90 sec. shot timer seems like an eternity is when you get in a match game and your opponent won't chat, but takes the full 90 seconds on each and every shot.  These are the players that make it to my "never again" list.  Most players here, however, do hit their shots quickly, so I don't have a problem when they need those extra seconds to make that difficult putt!

    Wow China!

If that's what I had to go through to hit a ball then number 14 on my list would be : "Reverse club on self,... beat myself six ways from Sunday".

Power to you John,.. you're a stronger man than myself but maybe you should take some time out of golf to google OCD. You could make it number 15.

Getting disconnected from the game that much would drive me nuts. Is it your ISP, connection, computer, or browser? Are you clearing your Flash cache and browser history before games? Maybe an add blocker would help (like adfender). I'm no techie,...so these are just suggestions I've picked up from other more learned people here.

    Good luck.

Thanks for that, no the reason for the disconnections and freezes is WGT needs a constant speed, mine drops to less than 1kbs every few minutes due to god alone knows what out here. Funny how no other games have this problem though. My choice is either put up with it or quit. I clear Flash cache etc before every game and often mid game too.

My only other suggestion would be game booster by iobit. That or throw the clubs away and become a pro at Angry birds!
