    YankeeJim:
If I took 90 seconds on a couple of shots and somebody called me a cheater I might be inclined to bust the guy's chops the rest of the match and take all the time, every shot.  :-)

    +1

The devil child inside me would make me get all the mileage I could from that one LOL

I don't finish many matches because of intentionally quitting or a bad internet connection.

    MichaelStroke:
This is on top of doing quite a bit of tanking to not get legend.

It should be your opponents who are complaining....Too Funny !!  :))))

Well you get the choice when u sign on for a game - if you don't like don't play.

I play a fairly quick game and if I think the other players are just milking the clock I'll ask them if they'd mind speeding up a bit - if you're polite most are happy to oblige.

After a few bongs my mental arithmetic stops working. 90 seconds doesn't seem that long really...

Obviously the 90 secs are necessary for complicated shots, like long putt in sloping greens with many different breaks. For a drive 15 secs are sufficient, as well as for a full wedge shot in a normal situation. Don't forget also that very often the meter jumps, accelerates, slow down, disappears ect.... and u have to restart the shot. These are seconds lost. Bye

I don't play MP or anything that requires me to connect to another player as my internet connection is intermittent at best, and I don't play for credits as I'm a tight-wad, so my opinion is largely irrelevant but I guess I take 90 secs and then some. To elaborate here is my 'routine'.

    1. Read my notes for that hole.

    2. Work out distance.

    3. Select club from my XL spreadsheet.

    4. Work our % of club if not 100%.

    5. Adjust WGT Caddy for club / shot chosen.

    6. Apply spin as required.

    7. Aim shot (offset for wind or putt)

    8. Re-check 1-6 (if putting triple check what increment the Crack Caddy has given you)

    9. Take shot trial swing to check meter, take a second if meter is too jumpy.

    10. Hold shot at top of backswing until CPU drops to 5%

    11. Take shot.

    12. 80% of the time once the shot has been released the meter will freeze at the ding (or wherever I manage to click it.)

    13. 10 - 30% of the time the game disconnect on me at this stage.

I don't know if 12 and 13 would add to the 90sec clock but I guess I take more than 90secs on average.

I have played with some of the best who take longer than I would expect on some holes. I have played with the same players on a different course who shoot within 15-20 seconds. I would never accuse anyone of using an illegal program even if it was obvious. I have some friends who I have played with since I started here. They used to take less than 30 seconds to shoot, now they take almost the full 90 on every shot. I guess they have aged considerably since joining WGT, plus they are kicking my butt on a regular basis. Are they using a program, yes they are, their program is they have figured out I don't play much anymore and they do, thus they are kicking my A$$. The only time I usually take more than 30-40 seconds is when I need to go get a beer. When I need a beer I will tell the player before me to take their time on their shot and give me 30 seconds. 90 seconds is a stretch, but some honest players require it for some reasons.
