for me olympic is the hardest i would rather play merrion than olympic any day of the week.

many times i hit what looks like a perfect drive on olympic only for it roll 3 feet off the fairway and be in 40/50 rough.3 feet from the fairway should be 20/25 not 40/50

Agreed !  the hardest course, Olympic hands down with all the trees & narrow fairways, very hard to play or score well.

The hardest hole?  14 Bethpage still for me! then 4 Merion, 18 Merion  lol

#9 Oakmont front right pin...I hit it in the trap and hope I dont go past the hole.

    Merion by a mile...

These are my picks as well. Oakmont, 9, with that pin down there, takes a perfect approach. Above the pin is disaster.

The second 9 at Olympic is extremely easy. Shot a 59 there earlier this week (albiet from the Master tees).

If you have the proper equipment, those holes can be easily had. A lot of short iron approaches

Now Merion... just played the Michelin Challenge today and had to play on the champ greens... lets just say that is like putting on ICE. Not only that, they were SOFT. Any time I played full spin on a wedge the ball spun back about 25 feet. Anything under par is a good score at Merion, the only course I can say that about

Merion's #10 is one of my least favorite holes. If you veer off of the fairway, you're screwed. St. Andrew's #17 sometimes screws with me. There are two or three holes at Oakmont (I am too lazy to look up which holes) that always give me difficulties.

I would say that Merion is the most difficult course for me, but I have only played it with Tournament Greens which makes it especially difficult. Olympic Club is not easy either.
