    Lee,

I actually was meaning no discussion had taken place on the true reason behind the move....I'm sure it crossed yours and many others minds..... I hope you are correct and it does continue to attract and retain players...I have some issues with WGT but I completely understand and support their decision to produce new revenue streams...As you stated it can only make the game better....Thankfully they are asking for member input instead of rushing to release a flawed system that would produce revenue but add no real value/enjoyment to the members of this site...

I can completely understand some people thinking  that if you play master clubs, whatever the tier you are in, that you should play from the master tees.  The only problem with this is there are countless memebers that have mixed bags, starter, rapture, ping, taylor made   etc  some master some begginner some pro clubs all to make their game better in their own way,  you could NOT tell who to make play from the master tier, unless you MAKE the pro buy all PRO gear , MAKE the master buy ALL master clubs  etc.  JMO

I  really  like the idea of having  levels. Its nice to get  rewarded as you  advance in the game. Its a bit  lame at the present  as there are  no real rewards for advancing. Sure you  get a few credits to buy  some lame gear  that might  help you  get  an extra couple of yards. It  would be nice to  see real rewards such a   free balls or limited edition clubs to go along  with those trophies that keep getting  covered in cyber-dust.

If the new levels are linked to the power and accuracy of shots then surely this would be a good thing too. Then even if a hack had the master gear then they could not  make it  work like the top master players do as they  would not  have the range or the accuracy  to  achieve this, and all likely they would play  worse than having  clubs designed for their specific tier/level.  This to my  mind would  provide a more realistic scenario. The more you  play, the better your avatars ability improves. It would go a long way to negate the problems with  'sandbaggers' that BolloxInBruge has outlined. As well make the game more dynamic and interesting.

Yes, looking forward to the new changes.

Just open the game up allready. Trying to dictate to us with these tiers is not the way. Let us crush the sandbaggers. Let me tee off from the same as them with my long driver. Until they become the same tier they would still have to use thier pro eq. Let masters in on pro tourn. but without the master clubs. Let anyone play any tee. Let open competition police itself for the time being.  Now this is possible in practice mode.   But most important to remember, This is a skilled gaming site.  Its not gonna be designed for honest players. We gamblin in ready gos and tournaments right.  Name me 1 gamblin venue thats not questionable either by the host and or players at the table.

I have read all posts and many twice…

    So here we go.

    1.      Too many are Laser focusing on the 3 actions WGTalex mentioned and not the words “such as” before those actions.

    2.      Experience Level achievement will probably be based on many actions. I.e. the first action makes up the biggest percentage of the whole…WGT will not disclose all of these actions needed and/or which one that is weighted more, as per the Tier system.

    3.      If you or going to start the Level at 0 why not the Tiers too? (Back to hack for everyone…but keeping all current equipment, stats, and balls).

    4.      Once a Tier is achieved they can implement a “Max” score for the Par 3-4-and 5 holes for ranked rounds…your scorecard in game shows the real score as always for that hole/round but the final round score posted and visible to all members on the player’s profile page is the correct handicapped score.  The handicapped score is used for Tier advancement (along with Tournament scores see #5)

    5.      All Tournament scores obviously would not be adjusted for payout reasons etc.

I believe this would be a win for everyone

The great players would be back to Master or above within a few days

If “interacting” means a completed 9 hole ranked round is weighted the most, in regards to Experience Level actions, then quitting would diminish.

If the Max Score system is implemented then kiss the sandbaggers good-bye.

We have 30 days; let’s get it right the first time.

Thank-you for letting me share my thoughts.

    Starting everyone back to Level zero, is not a good idea;

You essentially have 3 levels of masters and 2 levels of pro.

I would keep everything current and proceed via those tiers for advancement. JMO

If your referring to my post Infinito than start us at the Pro Tier.

The term level can get confusing real quick for some since that term will be more related to experience...I know it wasn't for you however.

Alex can we get a push pin on this thread for awhile?

    WGTalex:

We also plan to introduce new Experience Levels that will be based on actions you perform on WGT such as completing rounds, hitting shots and interacting with other players. Experience Levels will not be skill-based like Tiers; instead, you will level up as you play and interact on WGT.

At new Levels, players will be able to unlock new virtual items previously unavailable to them. Since this is a new reward system, we’re considering having everyone start at the same place, Level 0. Those who spend time on WGT will be able to level up fairly quickly.

I think the starting everyone at zero only refers to the levels not the tiers.

    Cheers

Thanks for all of your constructive feedback so far. We just want to clarify that the new tiers and levels were not meant to be the antidote to sandbagging. We know that while it will make tournaments more engaging by introducing more tiers, tierless tournaments may potentially be impacted.

That said, we plan to continue addressing the issue of sandbagging in upcoming releases. Tougher policing, additional tools for investigating suspicious scores, and adjusting averages based on both 9- and 18-hole games are all ideas under consideration.

We understand that sandbagging is top of mind for many of you, and we will continue to make improvements to address it. Tiers and levels weren't meant to be the solution for it, but we think it's a move in the right direction for the game overall.

Looking forward to reading more of your comments!
