As a senior citizen Master with a averge fluctuating between 65-70 and 900+ ranked rounds I am happy to see WGT make improvements to the game. I have never won a tournament with dinging gipps I have I probably won't. I have a passion for the RG'S and usually finish middle pack. I play because I love the pressure of the competiton that I don't get with the free rounds. I post very little but read the forums faithfully and have obtained valuable info from helpful players.

In my opinion  I do not agree with lower tiered players using MASTER equipment unless they use the MASTER  tees. I will keep playing and enjoying the game no matter what WGT comes up with because it is still the best game on-line.

                                                                                                                                              RIP

Turns out while my posts were being moderated (these are my first posts, so have to be moderated), AvatarLee had pretty much the same idea.  Hope my posts don't seem out of order.

I think the main problem many of us are having is all about the equipment for levels.  As it was written earlier you can level for ranked rounds, difficult shots and member intereraction.

Reading that, I think all I need to do is play and finish ranked rounds.  Very simple to do, free tourneys, unlimited play tourneys, ranked single or multiplayer play.  That leaves the door to wide open for sandbaggers, unless you are going to have some sort of checks and balances on the scores.

Difficult shots.  Same story, people play CTTH over and over and over and have mastered certain shots and skills.  Your sandbaggers dream.

Member interaction.  More needs to be developed on this, but so someone with a load of friends, or posts a ton on the forums, or plays a lot of MP games can level up.

All these things are too easy to manipulate.

You need more stats in this game.  Single Play tourney + RG + Premium tourney combined average, regular ranked average, and match play stats.  If you implement those you have a better way of ranking players, and a better way to examine of possible cheat (yes Sandbagging is cheating, its manipulating the system for a beneficial outcome intended to gain advantage against other players).  If you are not going to do that, allow anyone to buy any clubs, but make the clubs related to a tee box.

Lee, you were up all night thinking about this wasn't you?  lol!  j/k

If you were though, that's a real good idea to me and something WGT could consider implementing.  : )

@Ripco, I agree with your post. But there needs to be some clarity about a hack getting their hands on s Super-Tri R9 driver from their perspective tees. I just don't see this happening. You can clearly see, WGT is looking to sell more Master equipment, and there's nothing wrong with that in my book, but there needs to be some playing fairness brought into the mix in the meantime.

I say to the members, let's give WGT a chance to work out the details of what could be a great idea for the multiple tier issue we've all been looking to see for a while now.

This was a great trial balloon, WGTAlex - you are getting great insight from a group of regular, experienced users before you implement a plan that has the potential to both improve and diminish a great game.  Pleas keep this thread going and take some of these thoughtful, valid concerns back to the WGT drawing board before unleashing a possible train wreck on the faithful membership. Flesvag!!

    WGTalex:

    LEVELS

We also plan to introduce new Experience Levels that will be based on actions you perform on WGT such as completing rounds, hitting shots and interacting with other players. Experience Levels will not be skill-based like Tiers; instead, you will level up as you play and interact on WGT.

At new Levels, players will be able to unlock new virtual items previously unavailable to them. Since this is a new reward system, we’re considering having everyone start at the same place, Level 0. Those who spend time on WGT will be able to level up fairly quickly.

One nice benefit of Levels will be encouraging players to finish more multi-player games, since completing the round will help to increase their Level, making multi-player games more fair and fun.

    Good afternoon,

I have one question about levels. is that mean that player that cannot involve in multy player, can't access advanced equipment? If so, I don't think it's  that fair, this game is wonderful even you can't/don't want to have any multyplayer interaction.

    Thanks.

Wow i cant believe everyone is missing the reason behind this implementation.....MONEY. This opens up a big cash stream for WGT. They will be selling better, more expensive equipment to everyone.....not just the master tier players. Hacks on down the line could buy better equipment....which leads to faster meters...which leads to losing balls which leads to buying more balls...With the multitude of players here it allows wgt to entice that pro into thinking he can hit the R9 driver after using the Rapture....he spends his cash and and learns...wow that meter is way too fast....buys gi-sd's or gi-d3 whatever and wham wgt has sold equipment to someone who doesnt have the skill set to use it and they make money. Its just opening up an untapped revenue stream and if they can pass it off as improving the game then they sure as hell will try.

Disclaimer....I realize that WGT is in this venture to make money....(as evidence by the seemingly perpetual Beta status) This is a wonderful idea for their bottom line....It appears most members have bought into it "improving " the game....I don't see how it improves the game much but that is just my opinion..but it WILL improve the bottom line and that is what it is all about here and I don't hold that against WGT one bit

...And that's just it Sarge. This idea has only been suggested, and has a long way to go to implementation. Give the idea a chance to culminate before everyone starts casting dispersions about it.

even though some people are taking it too far,      that is exactly what needs to happen, it happens in brainstorm meetings at any company. There has to be a devils advocate or somethings would be implemented willy nilly and have terrible results.

Perhaps you don't give some of us as much credit as we deserve.  Yes it was one of the first reasons that came to my mind for these changes, but not quite in the way you are describing.  I see it as more of a way to attract more people and hold on to the current player base that they have.  If the general populace has a feeling that they can actually compete day in and day out, there is more of a chance of them spending money and putting effort into the game.  And I'm all for it!  It can only make game and the community as a whole better right?  More players = more revenue = more capital = more features and courses??
