We're still waiting for several games to be played but I see 2 pages back you will be playing with Matilalgaly in the 3rd round on Olympic. I think she has to get her 2rd played on RSG first.

    Corwyn:
On 3 putts, I am just going to have to go on what the Stats tab shows... so if it shows a 3 putt, then that's how it has to be. Sorry!

Fair enough.  Verification of where I was isn't exactly conclusive.  Just thought fringe "putts" were not recorded as "putts" in statistics: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ernie+els+makes+par+off+of+green

    Corwyn:
Basically, you have to click back to the 2-player card view first before selecting the Back9 individual view. If you don't, you get a repeat of the Fairways/Greens/Putts data from the Front9.

Ahh...Got it.  Will try to remember this next time, thanks.

    Corwyn:
Regarding JMan's connection difficulties, I'm going have him explore alternative internet connectivity before the next round...and we will have his future rounds be with markers and only in 9s.
I possibly can play with a non marker during other times than my preferred time.  The connection isn't always awful.  I just want to make as much possibility for a smooth experience for the other player.  But, I can play at other times of the day if absolutely necessary.

    Corwyn:
I'm curious, JMan, about the recording thing that shows on your screenshots. What is that for, and could that be slowing things down for you?
That is the free version Bandicam.  I use it to take screenshots.  All I need to do is press [F11] and the screen capture is automatically saved to a folder (I can choose the destination folder too).   I used it for the first round too, but wasn't sure of the file destination and did the manual [PrintScreen] button method to be sure.

It slows down the CPU, and that is when I am recording video. If I was recording video, the green light in the System Tray at the bottom right would be red.

I loaded up Bandicam on the Back 9, so the connection issues on the first tee were not a result of Bandicam.  In fact, I am not 100% convinced I was the cause of the connection issues.  The way it occurred was very strange and unprecedented with multiple error crashes:

"We're sorry, there has been an error with the game.

Please close this window and try again later.

                   Thanks, WGT"

It was a somewhat disconcerting event because I was ready to go and as soon as we loaded, I saw we had a 12MPH tailwind slightly left to right.  I guess you could say a 1 o'clock wind - perfect for long drive with a good angle to use possibly a 4 Iron to the 1st green.  But there was three consecutive disconnections and about 45 minutes later, the wind was gone and the Random 3 hole warm-up was cooled down by then.

    Corwyn:
Also, there's a calendar and date pop-up at the bottom right that seems to obscure the ball-lie grid: How can you play with that in the way?
When I hover my mouse over the time in the SysTray, it shows the date in a temporary pop-up.  When I move the mouse cursor away, it is gone. I do that so that there is a date stamp on my screenshots.

    Thanks,

    JMan

Edit @8:00PM PST: Oh, one other thing I forgot to mention.  You might notice a white rectangle with the word "SHARE" in it.  That is from when I e-mailed myself a replay, can't remember was it the 1st hole or thereafter, there was some sort of graphical glitch and the "SHARE" button remained on the screen for the rest of the round.

If anyone is reading this like.....right now.....I have just got home from my nights work and have an hour of washing and sorting my bag out for next week in Scotland, before I go to bed for the day.

I may get another hour this afternoon before I set off but I'm hoping there may be someone in the U.S. still up and available.

    Cheers

    A very tired....Neil

I can do 9 for you now...

    An also very tired Corwyn

Edit (11:58pm): Where are you, Neil? Connection went down on 1st tee... but you don't seem to be coming back up? I'll wait up another 5 mins...

Thank God for Corwyn!  I can go to bed despite my own worst instincts.

1st rd round practice at Olympic.

i played all 18 holes straight without mulligans, just so I could set a benchmark for future practice.

I broke 80, but it was an experiment to see where the problems lay.

The first 6 holes are vital for a good score.

After that you can go birdie hunting. The only one I got was on #8, but there again all Par 3's are birdieable.

#18 is a bugger, I hit a perfect drive down the middle and got a shite left to right lie from 73 yards, hit 90 aiming left of green and got bunkered. Easy up 'n down but still disappointing..

Is there an even lie on that fairway, I will find out.

Whiever I am paired with for Round 3, my play time will be GMT +6 for a few hours, on Friday or Saturday, practice beforehand is also an option..

I just marked for Neil for the front 9 at Royal St. George's.

He'll be looking for someone to help him out later on today for the back 9.

I can confirm that he used Starters throughout and didn't take any Gimme's!

He played really well, considering his lack of practice time, and that he wasn't even warmed up. He birdied the two par 3s almost effortlessly, knocking both tee shots within 6 feet, and with a bit of luck could have had a birdie on #2 as well. The bogeys were unfortunate, an early click on #5 leading to an awkward spot in the fringe left, from where a pitch went long... and on #9, having found the green to 40ft or so, a slight missed click putt went too far and down over the ridge for a cruel bogey. Nonetheless, Neil makes the turn in even par.

Here's the card and stats, and some pics I took just in case...

... and, needless to say, when it wasn't the real round for me, I played quite beautifully, lol! (and I missed a 9 footer on #3 that I misread or that lied, lol; a 20 footer on #5 that just curled away at the end; another on #8 where I missed the ding on a pretty straight one; and a 16 footer on #9 that I pulled). A -3 that could possibly have been -7!

Somebody must be able to get lucky and go real low here... Surely...

Now it's real late here and I must sleep...............

    OK, well I've surfaced.

I don't remember too much about mine and Corwyn's round to be honest as I was falling asleep after working all night.

Anyway, thank you sir for helping me out and hopefully someone is on here who can help me get the back 9 played in the next 2 hr or so.

Here are some screenshots but Corwyn has them covered.

As you can just make out with the pics.....we played VERY uneven lies.

    Thanks again

    Neil
