OK, so I just got a 2nd email telling me "due to a system error" to send my information to a different email address.

What's going on WGT???  The competition isn't suppose to end until 9/12 and as of a few minutes ago I could still play the course.  Should I reply to this latest email??? Can you give us a little direction here.

Incidentally I sent you guys an email about this earlier this morning. Thanks.

Alright. So I have recieved my second email today telling me to claim my KLM tickets. I responded to the email with no bouncebacks. To bad the tournament starts in 2 days and I am in the USA ... It would have been nice to know that the tickets were for THIS YEAR.

Also, I cannot believe that they would keep the tournament open til the 12th ... but be handing out prizes on the 7th. Don't make much sense.  I am currently placed in the low 20's. What happens if I keep grinding this course out and reach top 5?  DO I GET TO WIN 2 TIMES? We will see...

It may be time for us to unite and rebel here.

The tournament is still open and I am now up to 6th place (which would win me the golf lessons). However I have replied to the new email with my details for the tickets.

Does this mean my prize is the tickets or the lessons?

Lets have a look at the tournament rules

    Winner Selection and Notification.

Winner will be determined and announced on or about fifteen (15) days following the Contest Period from all eligible entries received
. The judging will be conducted by Sponsor or its designee, the judge of the Contest, whose decisions are final and binding. Potential winners will be notified on or about fifteen (15) days following the Contest Period by an email sent to the email address specified in the entry and posted on the World Golf Tour website. If potential winner cannot be contacted at this email, is contacted and does not respond as directed within seven (7) days of attempted notification, refuses the prize is ineligible to accept the prize or does not otherwise comply with these Official Rules, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Potential winner may be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and, except where and as prohibited, a Liability Release and a Publicity Release in the form provided by Sponsor, within seven (7) days of attempted notification in order to claim the prize. Potential winners may be required to show proof of identification within seven (7) days of attempted notification, or the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

    Look at the first sentence.

Winner will be determined and announced on or about fifteen (15) days following the Contest Period from all eligible entries received

The contest period is up to 12th September which is backed up by this also from the rules

You must play and complete the Game between 1:00 am Pacific Time (in other words, California Time) ("PT") on August 10, 2010 and 11:59 pm PT on September 12, 2010 (the "Contest Period") and you will automatically be entered into the Contest (each an "entry").

These tickets, remember are for this years event which starts this Thursday.

How are people in America for example expected to organise a trip to Holland (flights / accomodation / time off work) with 2 days notice.

I think the organisers or WGT must honour the rules. So the prizes can't be awarded until after 12th September.

Therefore my prize at the momemnt is the Golf Lessons, not the tickets.

Some of you had previously experienced errors in your attempts to respond to emails from KLM. The posts above appear to confirm our understanding that the issue has been resolved and that responses are now behaving as expected.

Regarding the prizes themselves, these will not all close at the same time.  The ticket sweepstakes closed Monday the 6th at 23:59 CET, with second and third prizes closing on the 13th at 09:00 CET.  For more information please visit the KLM site.

Why was none of this in the terms and conditions?   Why bother to write terms and conditions of you cannot be held accountable to them?   From the T&C....

"You must play and complete the Game between 1:00 am Pacific Time (in other words, California Time) ("PT") on August 10, 2010 and 11:59 pm PT on September 12, 2010"

"One hundred (100) Twelfth to One Hundred and Eleventh Place Prizes: Two general admission tickets to the KLM Open (ARV USD $120)."

"Prize claimed in accordance with the Official Rules will be awarded. Winner may be required to provide a U.S., Canadian, United Kingdom, Ireland, German, Australian, Netherlands, Norwegian, or South Korean shipping address to claim prize. Prize will be mailed only following Sponsor's receipt of the completed Affidavit of Eligibility and, except where and as prohibited, a Liability Release and Publicity Release, as well as verification of winner's eligibility."

"Winner will be determined and announced on or about fifteen (15) days following the Contest Period from all eligible entries received. So if I win tickets, and wait 6 days to sign the agreement, I now receive tickets for a tournament that already ended?

Why was the year that the tickets were good for not listed in the T&C?

    Exactly.

Either there are rules or there is mayhem.

I am in 6th place now, and now the competition is extended for another day.

Plus I doubt if anyone who won the tickets who is not from the Netherlands will be attending.

That's especially a big loss to those who won the VIP tickets. To be told 2 days before the tournament begins that you have won tickets is a bit of a joke.

so part of the tournament ended on Monday, while some of the prizes are available until the 13th. So what happens if someone were to be in a ticket prize at the first deadline(the 6th) and then be in position for the golf clubs or lessons or one of the 2nd deadline prizes at the 2nd deadline? Do they get both? And what about if someone was in a position for one of the 2nd deadline prizes at the first deadline so they didn't get the ticket prizes, and by the time the 2nd deadlinecame and went, people had passed them and they were no longer in position for the 2nd dealine prizes. So they end up with nothing???? This is a farce of a competition imo

More than confused @ this point. Was firmly in 6th place around the time others posted about the free ticket e-mail. @ that point in time didn't think it would apply to my position {free lessons vs free tickets} & it seems i was correct as i did not get an e-mail re tickets.

Shortly there after, S potatoe eater was lucky enough to shoot a little better than I. {good round Sean.} So, I am now 7th & in position for the VIP ticks. Correct? However, I've still not gotten any e-mail about tickets which would be unusable to me on such short notice anyway.

So, @ this point I don't really know where i stand in relation to the prizes. The only choice is to keep TRYING to beat BB & hopefully end up in front some how.

exactly the point I was making. eivets, you were originally in place for free lessons, which would be a sept 13th dealine prize, as the KLM Open would have no affect on that. However no you've been dropped down to a ticket prize spot as a result of someone scoring better lately, you can't get the tickets as that deadline is already over and if you fail to score better by the 13th you may even end up with nothing as you're not in a free lesson position by that deadline???? That's retarded, how can you have a competition with 2 seperate deadlines but 1 leaderboard. It doesn't even make sense lmao
