andyson: I don't think it works, I know it works from having moderated forums for several years and blocking disruptive posters and double account attempts. I know of all the pitfalls you point out from experience and the bottom line is still it doesn't have to be perfect and it will work to stop those who don't have the means or smarts to change their ISP whenever they get banned.
If you had any experience at all, you would understand why it does not work. Did you block them by IP address, or did you disable their accounts? There is a big difference there.

VanHalenLover: I would be interested in hearing your opinions on why I am against it, from you or any of the 'many others' that already know the answer. Is it different than what I posted here, lol?!
If you're attempting to de-rail this topic too I'm not going to participate.
So once again, your innuendos are perfectly acceptable, but my reply to them is an attempt to derail the thread?
You want answers, ask the questions, I'll happily provide information, advice, or opinions as I can, and step aside when I can't. If you can't accept them and feel the need to keep using the innuendos and dodging what you really want to ask, that's your issue, not mine. But don't expect me NOT to point it out every time, cause I'm growing tired of it really quickly. I could care less if you and your cronies have an agenda against me, but these threads are not the place to air it. Once they are aired, you better believe I will respond.
Go back and re-read all of the threads that you feel I am putting at risk, and you will see a common pattern in each and every one of them. All of the off-topic posts have been at the hands of a response to innuendos from the same posters who apparently have an agenda against me. You want to throw mud, you better expect to get your hands dirty.
