Upgraded to a new computer with more RAM than I know what to do with and a video card to match. I am experiencing just as much stutter as I was a year ago. It makes playing the game near impossible. BTW I don't have problems with other sites.

And just what steps have you taken to fix it besides plug the computer in?

Go to CNET , and get the free version of Advanced System Care .It comes with turbo boost , which will allow you to turn off everything , that you wont need , while playing this game . I use it , and it keeps my meter very smooth .You can also try using either Maxthon 4 or Comodo browsers as well . The problems may be your browser , or your internet connection as well . Good luck , and hope this helps . Happy Swinging :-)

Reading this thread, I have 2 problems, 1 with each poster,

YankeeJim, your comment comes off as pure sarcasm, completely  value subtracted. Not very helpful, though that is your absolutely prerogative.

Parformance, some real specs about your new computer and setup would be very helpful. What you consider more memory may not meet anyone else's or more specifically, WGT's definition. And to me the missing piece is any information about your Internet connection outside your new computer. As an demonstrative extreme EXAMPLE, the fastest computer over a dial up connection is a different diagnosis from a respectable but older machine over a T1 line. And you are also welcome to fuss if you wish.

Now, if you both want to simply fuss, have at it. I'll gladly step aside. If you want a legitimate attempt at help from the public in the game, please offer up some specifics.

And moderators, I'm trying to help you out here. Something about  this exchange got my attention to weigh in myself. Your choice whether you want the assist from an "outsider" or not, But I did want to weigh in. :-)

This is the thing never talked about here. Tons of talk about browsers but nearly nothing about the internet speed connection. My connection is mega( top level Comcast internet service with the highest download speed available) and I never have any meter studder or loading issues at all. I use an old version of IE and an old version of flash(11.3.300.271...) that I never update. I've got a hard wired connection to an old PC and a hard wired mouse. Game runs perfect all the time. The fancy named browsers aren't always the fix, it starts with massive download speed from a killer internet connection that's hard wired. Wireless laptops and wireless mouse will always be a problem regardless of browsers.

Blaming WGT is wrong. It's at the user end as usual.

When my internet download speed sucked.... so did my meter. It's not always your computer, also your flash version may not be compatible with your new computers browser.

At least somebody else gets it....it's all about the internet connection(HARDWIRE), you can play on a cheap @$$ computer that meets minimum requirements with it! Also keep in mind that your top notch connections are not ALWAYS up to par depending on how far downstream you are from the relay...micro second slow downs but slower speeds none the less during peak hrs.....

Now the meter running at various speeds during the game IS wgt's fault, counter measure against "auto click" software I assume because there is like a thousand people a week on here b!tching about cheaters, so we have to deal with it....

The first thing to check is internet speed. When I paid out for better internet my game improved dramatically.

Then by all mean lead the OP down LaLa Land Road (more sarcasm) with insane guesses about what his problem is. Like...

    JMalec:
And to me the missing piece is any information about your Internet connection outside your new computer.
which basically says you don't know what his problem is. Internet connections have zero to do with what he is complaining about yet that's your idea of help?

Specific symptoms yield helpful results. Claiming an explanation of the problem is "bs" without giving any details warrants like "sarcasm."

Translated-what did the OP do to diagnose the problem besides plug the new computer in and expect perfect? You get real help when you ask for it, not by slamming whatever explanation the OP referred to.

FWIW, type "meter stutter" into the Search box and you get 1,370 results including this one  (last post on the page) from over 4 years ago on what to do with new computers.
