Dunno I don't keep my homepage running when my game client screen is up as when it is it will stutter due to more process running plus having it up while the game client is running on my computer the friends coming in and out causes my meter to spike a little . I keep a cpu meter running when I play and monitor processing activity. When my cpu shows no activity my meter is smooth as silk on my release. If it spikes then I encounter stutter.

Can't tell you about your Zone Alarm meter. I don't know it, use it and am not concerned with anything but, making sure my auto updates are turned off,  how many processes I have running during game play and monitoring my cpu for swinging. That's what works for me and I am happy with the way it works for me. You don't think it does no biggie, that's fine I am not going to argue any points you find work as that is what it's all about finding out what works for you. I do know doing nothing and complaining in the forum sure doesn't solve anything.

not sure what you mean ...when I log in and click on a tournament it opens a new game window to play in...if the meter stutters which isn't very often, I restart the WGT page and the game is not affected...

bayrunner...sorry that question was to YJ not you, my bad.

however, when I play I have the WGT page open...I also run a firewall(ZoneAlarm), a anti-virus(AVG), a root-kit security program(winpatrol), software for my gaming mouse, and task manager...my meter is smooth as silk 99% of the time...when I start playing match play that may all change LOL.

This is more than likely what's causing your occasional problem. Do yourself a favor and close the main page after your game starts, the game will have less issues. There's no real reason to have it open while you play, it's just more stuff to clog up the connection.

I agree 100%, if I get a meter stutter it reminds me that I haven't shut other windows.

I use Maxthon or Comodo, i use these browsers for nothing else but WGT and game booster with no problems, lol apart from my game itself!!

    TracyMax:

Ours has been better since switching to Comodo (?) Dragon browser and using ONLY for WGT

I play using either Comodo Dragon or Pale moon and Srware Iron for  everything else here and I don't use any of those 3 for anything else. The only thing open besides the gameclient when I play is Bilkos wind calculator.

You shut down your AV and Firewall too when playing?

Another option for everyone with the newer gigantic hardrives is create a partition and load XP on it, boot from XP when your playing....

Create a partition, with XP, just so you can play this game smoothly? Now I've heard it all.

LOL...so you think it's ok to spend hundreds on a new computer and still have issues but installing a $2 copy of XP on a partition is "way out there"...

It is tough to do...you would need an hr. of spare time, AND you would have to read about 4 paragraphs of instructions so you would need to have the reading comprehension of aaaaa, ahhhhh lets say a 6th grader...LOL

For sure. This is absurd. If you spent hundreds on a computer and still have issues then maybe Computer 101 would be a good move. I don't think Andyson would even consider this and he is an expert at what it takes to get the game right on inferior machines. Check his profile out for what he does.
