OFFS!  And can speak for himself I see.  Maybe snide is the wrong word, and maybe using the word stupid is a cultural thing in parts of the US.

Can we leave it there now, I got the info I was looking for.

Thanks again everyone for your help.

FWIW, he wasn't calling you stupid, the reference was to the KISS principle-a silly way to say keep something easy to understand and implement.

    Keep It Simple S(tupid) or S(illy).  :-)

Well well, KISS is a new one on me, I didn't spot that.  And what does FWIW mean?

    TMBADSFATA  =

Their must be a dictionary somewhere for all these abbreviations.

Relax golfers, my mistake and my apologies.

In our CC, we have some tourney systems on two tracks, one for the most competitive based on previous events and a general category for the also-rans.

Also, sometimes we have run prize events (= sleeve of balls) where only players with a WGT average of 63 or over are eligible for the prize.

KISS - argh - one of those annoying acronyms beloved of motivational speakers and PowerPointers. As in such phrases as "It's the Economy, Stupid," the use of "stupid" is crude at best - but I didn't say "stupid."

Do you have tier specific tournaments? Anyway if the same people keep winning just have a word with them and ask them to keep it fair. If they don't obey then move them on.

This might be the best advice I have ever heard.

    1)  Tell people to play worse so they don't win as much

    2)  If they don't listen .. kick them out of your club

    Gotta love it

It's tough love but they still queue to get in.
