So I have a question then Shoe on verification process. HOw does someone like me verify my account evfen if I wanted to and had faith that WGT was going to gaurd my info.

I am an american living in Costa Rica. Sure I still have an american mailing address, but no house, so no utility bill. I have an american DL with old addres that I don't own anymore and a CR DL but that doesn't  have an address Here in Costa Rica in we don't really have mail so you don't get utilities bills in the mail with addresses. In fact we don't even really have addresses. Everything is paid online or at places like a checking cashing store that you can pay your accounts.

I have never multied or sandbagged but I can't even do what you require if I felt comfortable doing it.  Would be willing to guess there are quite a few players out there that have similar issues

Anybody out there playing, I'm getting reports from all over the place that you cannot finish 18 holes without cleaning the cache and sometimes every few holes it needs to be done, the meter goes freaken haywire.

I was just out playing around with the new balls and I had to clean every 12 shots or so.

Heres a suggestion, lock in those settings somehow, cookies are no good, they get eaten when cleaning, their not that tasty either.

Funny you say that I was almost going to post about the L94 Nike putter particularly.  Both myself and a of sound mind fellow CC member, are both seeing RPM with the putter particularly.  I have missed several putts clicking late, and that has never been an issue before.  He has not changed balls at all btw and getting same.

Might be worth WGT checking and OMG LOL what am I saying:)

    WGTdbloshoe:
Some things that will be released will be geared to newer players and some will be geared to higher players.  It's not always going to satisfy everyone.

Hogwash. You're the messenger so you're spinning this as best you can but I call BS. I don't believe for one second that there were any substantial number of "new" players that whined about not being able to see the dots. In almost 5 years of hanging out in this forum I can't recall a single request by anybody to make the dots larger. That was WGT's idea and by the looks of it all you did was magnify the dots just like they appeared when you use that lame in-game zoom function. The result is distinctly cartoonish.

I reserved judgement on the change until I was able to experience it and after having done that I have to agree with the majority here-bad move. I can't do anything but adjust to whatever WGT wants to crud their game up with, and I will, but laying this off to an attempt to make the game easier for new players is as lame as it gets. I don't believe for one second a new player to this game is going to be put off by the size of the dots and will choose to not play because of that. Putting is hard, plain and simple, just the way it's supposed to be.

Chad's vision has always been a worldwide golfing community where the game is the focal point for golfing enthusiasts. You're pandering to the TWO crowd, not the golfing crowd.

Another damned if we do, damned if we don't issue. Maybe the powers at WGT should enlist the thoughts of long time, legit, honest players of this game prior to just implementing changes. DO: Sensible additions, incentives to lure new players to the game. DON'T: Piss off the stalwarts that have been here forever and have set the bars and made the game what it is. I have not seen the new grid yet but will check it out. As clearly evidenced by my playing history, I have not shot a ranked round since the 9th of this month. I have had more than enough time to do so, chose not to in order to save what few balls I have for enjoyable AS games. Being one of the mediocre players at best, most changes don't effect me any how. Like I said in the past, I believe I have reached my peak of excellence as far as I am concerned.

Well with all due respect, they likely hope to get a new breed around here with the golf channel pushing them now. Golf channel has grown about 6% per year in recent years, and golfchannel.com gets 20 million unique visitors per year.

This would/should/could be banner time for WGT, but, yeah WTH, there's a but, if these had of been the prices in 2009 when I joined, I would of ran. So how to you keep this new breed here? HMMM

So prediction time, I love prediction time, don't you, "out with the old in with the new".

HMMM how to do that, the old real good cash out, except for a few they will keep around for the thrill of the chase, most will find it much more difficult to score well, competition will be fierce, new accounts will get good quick, old accounts will get worse quick, when the old and good have to start cracking their wallet, their gone. Anyone cracking their wallet now, will be cracking it deeper.

HMMM but how could that happen, makes no sense, AHH but they showed us yesterday not everyone gets the same game fed to them at log on didn't they, I don't know about you, but that's new to me, why would a developer develop that into an online game?.

Just a prediction, nothing more, no foundation in fact whatsoever, that's all it is, prediction, assumption, guesstimating, nothing more. Play golf have fun, take care.

I like the idea of having something in the options menu to set the dots back to the old way as well.

This ^^^. Putter Pal (foisted on everyone) later made optional. Shot Pal (foisted on everyone) later made optional. Larger dots ( foisted on everyone) ??? Here's a thought, instead of WGT knows best attitude, where they just implement things they think are best. Why not put a positive spin on things from the start, and introduce new things as an "Option"." New update, we are pleased to announce players will now have the option of..."  The only downside I see to that would be that the forums would a duller place with less complaining, and, it might help foster the illusion that they (WGT) actually care about their customer base.

    Doc :)

    WGTdbloshoe:
Makes it easier to read the break.  This is especially true with longer putts.

it actually makes it harder to read the line at the other end of a long putt as the larger dots start to become fuzzy & merge with each other much earlier than before.....

the only solution is to read the first half of the putt line from the players view & the second half of the line from the reverse view, however, we all know that the grid lines & dot speed have always been different depending on which view you choose....hence having to use the chip view to work out the correct line...

with this change can WGT now say that the grid lines & speed of the dots are the same for both  the putting views & the chip views (i.e.player & reverse)?

the earlier suggestion of having an option to adjust the size of the dots would have been a practical solution to satisfy all tiers.......

    :-)
